This was pretty helpful for me even though I was already applying this to some extent. Feels so good to see Track Titan+ACC :)

Great pointing out as usual. Even though couldn’t see the inputs in track scenes the explanations depict situations fairly well.

Aah, I understand! Your explanations seem to help me most in sim racing, so it would be lovely to see track breakdown, like Rosberg's, but yours are much more physics based, you have graphs, just absolutely lovely content. I actually practice the things you say, so a BIG thanks to your channel!

but my question is why pros brake after the 150 signal at turn n1 in moza and when i try it i always get so fast in the corner it is a straight brake
@TrackTitan
@TrackTitan Ай бұрын
The main braking phase is in a straight line. The pros then “trail brake” whilst turning (we have another video on that) and by doing that, they can brake so late. Hope this helps!

Hi. Is it better to keep steering straight for longer and turn in later into T14 of IMOLA, OR turning in sooner but keeping brakes longer and being deep on the brakes onto the apex?
@TrackTitan
@TrackTitan 3 жыл бұрын
Both! Straight for as long as possible but you should still trailbrake towards the apex.

I learned this the hard way after overshooting Bikernieki T2 so many times yesterday. First I was trying to get the perfect line by grabbing the left side curb but then I had not enough distance to brake, then I realised that keeping the wheel straight at the end of T1 I could brake later and get a better exit from T2 using a V shaped line. I'm still struggling to find the right brake pressure without locking. Any tips to find threshold braking more easily?
@TrackTitan
@TrackTitan 3 жыл бұрын
Without ABS that is I'm assuming?

@@TrackTitan Exactly. I try not to use ABS whenever possible.
@TrackTitan
@TrackTitan 3 жыл бұрын
@@wisllayvitrio It is really tricky in simracing as you can't feel the tyres locking up as well. We would suggest taking your car to a track with long straights or even an oval to just practice braking. That way you build up the muscle memory needed to get it right again and again on other tracks :)

You can get feedback using pedals with vibrators such as the fanatec v3 or with a buttkicker set up to be triggered on lock ups 😀
@yasasvyguntur4109
@yasasvyguntur4109 3 жыл бұрын
Why would the inside tyres locks up while turning?
@TrackTitan
@TrackTitan 3 жыл бұрын
Because the inside of the car gets unloaded and therefore has less grip available than the outside which the car leans on.
@yasasvyguntur4109
@yasasvyguntur4109 3 жыл бұрын
@@TrackTitan reason for lockup is brakes right as they dont have abs. What weight and grip has to do with that lock up?
@TrackTitan
@TrackTitan 3 жыл бұрын
@@yasasvyguntur4109 If you turn, the inside wheel has less grip available so it locks up earlier, i.e. with less brake pressure.

How about braking with a little bit of slip angle? can we turn the wheel just a tiny bit?
@TrackTitan
@TrackTitan 3 жыл бұрын
Sometimes it’s unavoidable but ideally, there is no slip angle at all in the main braking phase.

Nope, just try to brake in a straight line for as long as possible, then trail gently for the rest of the entry phase.
