Как мне кажется заднюю и боковую стенки этой кухни всё таки лучше было бы сделать до самой крыши для большей вашей и ваших детей безопасности. И в жилом доме заложить камнем или заделать доской открытве участки, чтобы было меньше сквозняков. Тогда и ребёнок меньше бы простужался. У нас в жилых помещениях обязательно делают деревянные полы для комфорта. На них и ребёнок мог бы играть, и протереть из легко, чтобы было чисто.
