If memory serves, they did think of it the first time. The reason they didn't do it initially was because they all had ego problems and turned it into a contest to see who would actually kill Spider-Man. Part of the problem was the writers knew that this video would be fairly accurate in how Spider-Man would actually do fighting all 6 at once.

The way Sandman was defeated in that first appearance was fantastic, he trapped Spidey in an airtight box with him, the plan being to simply beat the shit out of him while he ran out of air... except Sandman forgot that he also needed to breathe and ended up passing out before Spidey. Bonus fun fact, Doctor Doom and the Green Goblin were also invited to join the original team, but declined, Doom due to being more interested in defeating the Fantastic Four, and the Goblin due to wanting to defeat Spider-Man himself.

A shocker that electro was the one that put up the most fight, everyone else was humillated by spidey. He didn't even bothered knocking up Kraven, he just grabbed an item he was guarding and left

Yeah, it was back in TAS when Peter was having mutation problems and kept losing his powers randomly. The footage in the video is actually from that episode. Spidey put a pitiful fight because he pretty much immediately lost his powers when the fight started. When they saw Spidey was Peter, they immediately assumed it was just Peter being desperate, because they had kidnapped Aunt May and demanded he lures Spider-Man to the building. They kept praising how Spider-Man was a fearsome foe, deadly accurate and so swift and dexterous that you could barely keep up with his movements. Peter's fight was nothing like that so Peter obviously wasn't Spider-Man.

I mean that episode is where the pictures in the video come from.

Unfortunately that scene was also out of character. Peter Patker was known to the Vulture - he'd even kidnapped Peter before - and had visited Aunt May's for forgiveness. So the scene where he has Peter unmasked makes 0% sense.

Yeah, Spider-Man tends to hold back quite a bit. At one point he took Scorpion's jaw off with a single punch. Ezekiel Sims (older guy with identical powers) even berates him at one point for backing off when a thug threatens a hostage; Ezekiel just jumps the thug immediately and tells Peter that with their enhanced speed and reflexes there really isn't anything the thug can do to hurt the civilian.

The "he always hold back" is a stupid excuse and I don't get how people are dense enough to think its good. I can think of quadrillion ways spider-man can stop normal ass humans without hurting them. I think that the whole "He's holding back" thing could make sense in terms of explaining why Spider-Man would normally deal weaker blows, not why would he be physically weaker on a whole. It also strains my suspension of belief quite a bit: I know it's genetically-modified, but why would this random-ass (and unfinished) GM spider specifically be so superior to all other genetically-modified people going around, that it even overshadows ultratech? I've not a problem with Spider-Man beating up the SS after he gets fighting experience and physical training with the Avengers or against other major threats, but just "Oh yeah he normally holds back" feels like a really bad excuse.

My favorite version of 'Villains Team Up' is the Power Puff Girls one. The entire episode is just Beatles references for some reason and the way the team gets disbanded is because Mojojojo falls in love.

Well that's kind of the point. Supervillains are supposed to be their own worst enemy because they're often narcissists focused on inflating their ego and don't trust anyone because they're convinced the entire world is just as shitty as they are. Supervillains have a pretty strong Fascist influence since the Golden Age happened at almost the exact same time as WW2 and at that period the comic creators were almost entirely Jewish (with a few Italians who also probably had a bone to pick with a certain world leader).

Yeah the greatest for of the super intelegent Peter Parker but super powered punching is much cooler in tv show and movies. Honestly replace chameleon with the venom.

You have to evolve man, you cannot just keep youthfull enthusiasm forever, at some point (if you are lucky) your hobby becomes your job and you have to introduce more structure and planning into it. Sure you still feel the kick of running through walls but now you have to take into account payment, possible carrier advancements and similar stuff, so it is still there, but you know, just part of the greater whole.

Spider-Man beat up the X-Men during Secret Wars when they attacked him for learning about them wanting to abandon the other superheroes, and only Xavier brainwashing kept that from happening. And during the first Civil War, he beat up an entire row of supervillains and superheroes including Reed Richards in two panels.

An endurance fight works better with the whole team present. They can take turns, and also assist each other. Conservation of ninjitsu like in a Bud Spencer & Terence Hill brawl, where everyone gets in the way of everyone else, only works if the others don't fight as a team. In a comic, a 1:1 is easier to follow. You never know what is happening in the brawls in Asterix, which is not a style that works for Spiderman. But I'm also reminded of how the dread pirate Rogers defeated Andre the Giant.

Peter has done a lot of work where Spidey is concerned; he wrote a book, did a tour on telly and all, and is known by many villains who attack the Bugle to find out who takes Spidey's picture. Scorpion knows Peter Parker, as does Chameleon. Besides, the unmasking is logical. You get unmasked, villain knows what you look like, tells the cops when they get arrested, you get arrested. Or another version of this is in the TV series Dark Angel. Max doesn't wear a mask but hides her face from Lydecker. As soon as he identifies her face, he puts up reward posters to find her. Peter being unmasked is Trouble even if the villain doesn't know who he is right then and there.

In the comics pretty much all of these guys found out his identity. Octopus body swapped him. Mysterio currently knows; he found out in Hell. He might have been Mephisto Mindwiped to forget but he visited the Ultimate Universe where the identity is public. Scorpion was told by Norman Osborn. Chameleon kidnapped and unmasked him. He already suspected due to being involved with duplicating Peter's parents via Harry Osborn. Rhino deduced it briefly in an issue of Tangled Web. Only Shocker here didn't know until Civil War and hasn't found out again since.
