my grandpa demonstrated siphon when i was a kid. i thought he was a god. lol.

Good color demonstration toward the end of the clip. Siphons were used extensively in recent history for irrigation of potatoes and other crops in arid agricultural areas. Might have too high of a water loss if water is scarce.
