I lost hope for a new Timesplitters game. The only positivity I can find is being able to play the franchise on the go on a portable emulator known as the Odin. Fallout 5 will come out someday. I can’t say the same about Timesplitters 4.

I hope this can be salvaged somehow. Even a proper PC port of the games would be nice!

PC port seems like the only (remote) hope remaining. It would be amazing if the source code could be opened up to user mods/content. You'd think Embracer could find a way to earn a few $$ in the process... better than the certain $0 that they can now expect. Does anyone know if EA retains any publishing rights to TSFP?

@@NewTimeSplitters As far as I or anyone else knows, Embracer Group still owns the TimeSplitters IP, which includes distribution rights to past games. Additionally, there's a listing for Future Perfect on Microsoft's store for $9.99 via Microsoft's now defunct backwards compatibility program. So, it stands to reason Embracer, being the current IP holder, receives all profits. Not EA, who, to reiterate, doesn't appear to have any legal ownership of TimeSplitters.

Thank you for the video sqdlow, I never miss an upload from you and frequented your streams as waluigi for some time. I hope a new timesplitters game will come out someday, and in the meantime I will look forward to future updates and timesplitters content from you. It's one of my favorite game series of all time and is so underrated. Much love to all the developers over at Free Radical. 💜💜💜💜

3:55 I absolutely agree with this! Not many people know that behind many of the greatest games, there are always these ''Champions'' in the video game industry who are the ones to get these huge, risky projects off the ground. Whoever that or those individuals were, they must of been huge fans of the franchise themselves. So much so that they were able to convince their higher ups into doing it. Which... doesn't happen very often :/ We'll see what happens...

Unfortunate, but I can understand why no company wants to risk it. Financially speaking its a risk going for this instead of the bigger fps franchises. Makes me sad that in this day and age its a safer bet to make a COD game and not something else.

Hope, it’s been confirmed that they closed today. I honestly hate Embracer now. After everything that they announced half-hazardly. The fans and the people working are the ones to suffer this and not the people in charge of this pathetic company.

Man I played timesplitters 2 when I was 9 and for as long as I had a PS2 I was always playing it, granted I stopped after I got a xbox360 but I did rebuy the games again and still love them to this day, when I saw DeadIsland 2 and played throughed it and I saw the timeSplitters 2 Easter eggs which I thought would mean a reboot. But to hear they huge lay offs makes me sad because I miss playing goofy games like this and not another "Military shooter" even explaining the game to a friend he just thought I was crazy. Hopefully we'll get a good reboot, and not an awful shit in a toilet. But I dunno with this day and age I'm more worried that it won't be Timesplitters.

Most of mankind will be gone before timesplitters 4 ever sees the light of day. So theres no more point waiting or caring about any game coming out from this point on. Everything is just a bland lifeless unfun mess. So if I die than at least i got to enjoy the 3 games in their time. Rip Timesplitters its been fun. Peace!

Fortunately we got TS2 & Future Perfect in 4k on Xbox Series X 🙏😔 But no TS1 still is a huge shame

I wish I could have said the same. But after seeing that the game was just a fortnight clone, I'm glad the game was canned. Not happy that people lost their jobs. As usual, there is no respect for the fans nor the legacy of Timespliters.

Yeah I saw it too, not really the game we all expected 😔 But the art and the music was still so good, proved to me there was a great team over there who may have done something brilliant with the IP had they been given the freedom to do so 😔
