My daughter planted some string of turtles in her terrarium and it’s doing really well. She planted it higher up closer to the light source and on a ledge so it gets misted every day with water ( the whole tank does) but it isn’t sitting in damp wet like some of the plants near the bottom.

I found the video helpful. I enjoy growing plants outside and taking clippings to bring in and grow in my terrarium. I recently brought in eight oak leaf ficus.They had recently sprouted and all of them had roots. I love to grow my own plants. I don't have to shop for small plants that are suitable which can be hard to find and I appreciate the plants more when I have grown them.

Thanks for the Video it’s an excellent effort to summarise these plants, with regards to babies tears we have a similar looking plant which is called babies tears and it’s very easy to propagate via cutting and low maintenance heavy duty plant, but as far as I know and experience that’s this plant do not like too much water as it will root the stems and sure too much light I have a number of them at my outside garden which withstand temperatures reaching +50 c during hot summers and that’s why I never tried them in terrarium, I guess this Plant goes under category of succulents and hence can’t be mixed with other plants which usually like humidity, probably there might be more than one type of babies tears I’m not sure

Actually, my most reliable terrarium plant is a Syngonium Wendlandii. Looks amazing whatever the theme and grows in varied med to bright light. Not as luck with pilea in or out of terrariums, but have found that seconhand colored drink dispenser kegs (glass or plastic) are the vessels I've found to set up larger terrariums. ❤

I am growing oregano and couldn’t get the sprouts to go into the next stage and develop their true leaves. So I placed the sprouts back into a zip lock baggie and sealed it shut and in under a single week the oregano plant has tripled in size. I wonder if they would do well in a terrarium setting.

I was wondering if you had a video/tip about how to use ferns indefinitely? I got a few tiny ones, and used a few in terrarium, but I don't want to destroy the mother plant. Are there ways to help ferns grow fuller or faster? Or how do I use ferns (do I just purchase when I need them?)
@WorcesterTerrariums

I'm not sure about indefinitely but by pinching out the older leaves you can keep them smaller for longer. I wouldn't do this too often though as it'll negatively impact their vigour

im really new to terrariums, but a while ago i thought only succulents could really live in a terrarium and i made a terrarium a while ago., but then one of the succulents died (its a succulent i used 2 times and i noticed it was really sensitive in terrariums because it also died last time) but then soon after 2 plants popped up in my terrarium somehow and i know that one of them was a tomato and both of them were thriving, until my dad took them out of the terrarium.
