Good songwriting most (not all) their songs are ambiguous can work for different thing’s for different people. Now the war does thread through them if you’re looking for it. For instance = I’m not the same kid you have known. Or Hurricane in my soul. Songs can still fit anyone but it’s there. Sound wise they just do whatever they feel like. They can slip seamlessly into a different genre and get away with it. It’s just what they do. That’s really their style. And Maria can sing it all. I think there music always has a Groove I recognize and think that’s Katya the drummer. Also they like having some danceable. And “It’s Our Art we do what we want, hope you like it”. I love your reactions and how you examine the lyrics. I agree with the similarities with The Warning, not musically the same but the talent and potential. As a Warning fan for 5 years, these girls have been the first to really grab my attention since then. I used to love seeing reactors first reactions to The Warning, plus thanks to the viral Enter Sandman video which created TWA, they turned up in numbers which encouraged reactors to play more. Nowadays you don't find many first time reactors and I'm now frustrated at reactors digging through any Warning content including earliest videos, VLOGs and interviews, all to get the viewing numbers, while ignoring new bands like the Sixters, like Freeze the Fall, like others I'm sure I don't even know yet, because they don't have the viewing numbers yet. Regarding the Sixsters, your right and wrong, they are not really new as a band but in this format since the war started, the changes enforced. They started in 2018 by then 9 year old Kate Kuziakina, who's the only one remaining from that time, Maya Podolska the keyboard player was the last other original who's family returned to Ukraine last September, so any video 2024 on will have Sofia Chernova-Kurlykina. Maria Krutsenko is the 3rd vocalist for the band, the first in 2018 was Victory Vizanska, who was with the band for less than a year and her place was taken by Kira Kasyanova, who had appeared on Ukraine's version of 'Got Talent' as a 10 year old, an additional bass player Kira Panchenko joined at the end of 2018 as their 7 year old bass player, Taya Voznychka lived furthest away and couldn't make it to all their event. Together with rhythm guitarist Alona Lipska and lead guitarist Iren Semka, made up the band until the end of 2020. In 2021, both guitairst changed, first Maria replaced Alona and added backing and sometimes sharing or taking lead vocals with Kira K and later in the year Anna Voloshyna replaced Ira i=on lead guitar. This was the band when the war started. They released a song called Truth in the days after the invasion. A couple of weeks after the invasion, Kates home was destroyed in the bombing and most girls left with their families moving to Germany, Switzerland and Spain, so they basically scattered. Taya's family lives close to Poland, so they stayed. 5 months later 5 of the girls met up in Germany, vocalist Kira K didn't return, so Maria took over vocals. The girls recorded an emotional song, Happiness, reflecting their situation (re-recorded in 2023). Shortly after, after one more song, Kira P's family returned to Ukraine so Polina Zagnoi replaced her on bass. This song was originally called Місто, which is Ukrainian for City and the lyrics were Ukrainian and don't translate as it is now, I think you're right, they changed the words to reflect the war. I forgot to mention, you guys really look at songs, read the lyrics, and show due respect to the artists, and that really stands out, and what is quickly making you guys one of my favorite reactors. With these young women, there are, understandably, some dark undertones to their lyrics that often belie the upbeat tones in their music. You won't find any teeny bopper love songs in their catalog. But you will find ones where they have fun, and are a joy to watch.

Japan, Mexico, Indonesia, Taiwan, Sweden, Switzerland, Brazil, Ukraine....Rock is alive and well all over the world, and girls and women are leading the way. It's amazing. thanks for checking them out again.

For a long time I have only 2 favorite bands: #1 Band Maid from Japan and #2 The Warning from Mexico. Looks like from now on I will have my #3 favorite band The Sixsters. This Ukrainian band is amazing. I like them a lot!!! Thanks for your reaction.

Thanks for your great reaction! You might be even more impressed if you knew their ages when they did this: Maria, singer, was 15, Drummer Kate was 13, the bass player (Polina in this one?), was 13, Maia on keyboards, I belive was also 13, and Anna, lead player, was 19. So yeah, they are going to be monsters. What you'll find with this band is that they play many different genres, blend genres, and each song is truly unique. It's almost like trying to put the Beatles in a genre; the hallmark of The Sixsters is their experimentation and daring to try new things, pulling in from a wide range of influences. In other words, doing unexpected (and great) new things is what they do. Their more recent album, 2 years later, shows a new maturity and complexity in their compositions. I'm going to request "For us...For me.." next, so you can kind of start getting a better sense of what you're dealing with, with this band. I love seeing reactors learn about these talented young ladies. 😀

I am very pleased that y'all returned to the Sixsters. This song really shows off the vocals of Maria who has a very distinctive voice (a huge factor for a band to be successful) with great range especially for someone still so young. To me, the song has a psychedelic feel which I always enjoy in music. The band has all the musical talent required to succeed. However, the girls have not yet written any of the music or lyrics to their songs. Songwriting credit is given to Oleksandr Kuziakin, who I assume is their manager and father of the drummer, Kate (who is the only remaining original member of the band). I hope that they are able to add some of their own songs in the next album.

I do agree that they are in there infancy but comparing to the warning? they ae worlds apart , like comparing Rush To Kiss. not even in the same league
