The dress, cape and shoes are definitely an outfit I wouldn't mind wearing because it would make me feel like a princess out of a magical Fairy Tale storybook. I'll even wear a sparkly tiara to match the shoes.

I watched the slipper and the rose over and over again as a child. So in love with the costumes, songs, and of course Richard Chamberlain as the Prince...

This movie may not have become as iconic as Mary Poppins or Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, but it does prove once again how masterful the Sherman Brothers were at writing a really catchy tune.

Those jeweled mules are the best practical shoes in any Cinderella I've watched. The 2015 Disney live action takes the cake for the best gown.

Cinderella is my favorite fairytale of all time! I love the story much that I'm pretty receptive to most of the many adaptions that exist today - both past and present. My favorites obviously include this wonderful gem, Disney's 1950 adaption, Ever After, and I thought Disney's 2015 live remake was absolutely stunning! When she descends the staircase in that blue gown - with Patrick Doyle's score going full throttle, it's a piece of cinematic history, and I weep nearly every time I see it!

Who Thinks this version is better than the 1950 Original we all have different opinions I loved the original 1950 one. But this one was absolutely phenomenal with all of the great music it is so worth it

We went to see this at the dollar theater at least 2 or 3 times a week all through the summer of 1977.

This fairy godmother actress also played queen Victoria in the 1970s. She was a great queen Victoria.

In this 1976 film version of Cinderella Bryan Forbes has his heroine declare that she cannot believe it! What could she mean? I haven't too many qualms with the camera technique Forbes employs to transform Cinders to a princess. Nor do I care that Forbes unimaginatively borrowed Reginald Mills ("Tales of Beatrix Potter") idea to use classically trained dancers in animal masks, in his prelude of mice transforming in to white horses. However, I balk at the work of "Slipper and the Rose" costume designer Julie Harris. Harris would have worked with a reasonable budget, a sizable wardrobe staff and an insight in to 18th century period references. Regardless of this, all Harris can deliver are costumes that are historically inaccurate, ugly, and would shame a gifted designer of amateur pantomime. But then, Bryan Forbes wasn't much of filmmaker...
