Takes like 15 seconds for it to even overshoot my own aircraft so I can at least see where it's going... It's not like the Nord, there's no proximity fuse. It keeps straightening it's flight path both vertically and horizontally making it even harder to steer. The enemy gets a giant ass MISSILE warning. And every single game is an uptier (even an I-153 Chaika can outrun this missile). Yeah.

I know those replays can be pretty janky but if I saw my missle phase through a plane like that I'd probably not play for a while tbh.

that's honestly insane, even though it's practically impossible, the fact that you were able to get just a few kills is mindboggling to me. I can hardly kill tanks with bullpups. BTW you should try doing a vid on the huricane with 40 mils, it's surprisingly good in a dogfight as long as you don't get ganged up on and is amazing at intercepting bombers.

What makes it even worse is that missile doesn't even have a camera so your just using your eyes from so far away. But at least they'll never see it coming the missile only needs some music on it to make ir scarier/funnier, but great attempts that challenge seems horrendously hard but at least they can be trickshots!

I tested this missile and i think it has a range of 12.5 km, i can consistently kill a light tank in test drive at 8-10 km range, you can probably bring this to top tier and kill modern spaa while they can't do anything about you lol :p

it took me several tries to hit the goddamn ship on the missile tests, the fact that you even managed an air kill in that thing is nothing short of incredible (or im just very, very bad)

While doing science last night, my friend and I tested about everything with this missile from air to air, to air to ship and ground. So it seems it has a damage model in which you can shoot it like any other bomb (good), a missile indicator doesn't seem to pop up in a real fight while shooting each other with it. I think that might just be on the end of the spectator camera. Might have to check again, really unsure. It's so slow any degree of climb will almost cause it to stall out slower than the bomber itself. And most importantly I think, launching it at any angle will cause the gyro to stabilize to that angle. Meaning if you launch it at a -10 angle the gyro will remember to reset not at 0 degrees but at that -10. So for attacking ships like in naval battles (if you're that insane to do so) launching from long distance at a -20 angle was prob my best strat or at literal sea level. Either or, get distance.

I think it has to do with altitude and the programming of the missile. Normally, when you start an aviation mission on the airfield, the aircrafts phase through each other and don't collide, because collisions are turned off. Once you're in the air, collisions are turned on. For this missile, its the opposite. Collisions appear to be tuned off in the air, but turn on when near or on the ground. That or the missile's hit box is really small.

There should be a timed fuse that you can modify. I'm sure engineers irl back then could have figured out how to add a timed fuse to the missile, considering it was basic technology for other bombs and explosives.

Blue Balled by broken hit detection aside, just landing a hit is agony. And all those near misses... I would stop playing. But you are a stronger man than me.

G'day, Ohh I've personally been waiting for this video ever since the event started hah hah although it's already mentioned elsweyr that the Type 60 & RB53 Bantam exist as those are the slowest missiles in game. Odd fact the Argentines during the Falklands war aboard the damage ARA Santa Fe fired a Bantam against a British helicopter, Unfortunately for them it missed as it's still an ATGM but fortunately they made it to land before scuttling there boat... Anywho it makes sense they see the giant MSL warning in AF since the rocket fuel is burning during this time. Doubt I'll try jousting with this missile but I'll likely down a couple with my AK-630 CIWS in NF aboard soviet corvettes...
