The American T95 Super Heavy Tank, also known as the Doom Turtle, is simultaneously fun and painful to use. On small maps it is an absolute joy thanks to its great armament and armor, but on large maps its low speed absolutely ruins it.

It was only intended to go against the Siegfried line. It was a one way trip, and after the line was broken, they intended to retire it. Speed was unnecessary. It ended up the line was underwhelming, and they were not needed. Production was immediatly haulted. The fat electrician has a good video on it.

at 3:27 you mention being sneaky in a T95? That thing is the undisputed hide and seek champion, having been "lost" for some 27 years only to be rediscovered in a bush... a single, tiny bush, on Ft Belvoir, VA. I recently got to go give it a hug as it's since been relocated to Ft Moore (formerly Benning) and moved indoors, part of the national armor and cavalry collection. You don't appreciate how MASSIVE it is until you're standing in front of it. I'm 6'2" and it dwarfs me easily.

Attempt number 39 at getting Spookston to play any tank with a dozer blade, the catch is, he has to dig in before engaging targets. Movement around the map is allowed, but he has to dig in again before reengaging.

If I remember correctly, this was designed to use the V12 engine that went into the T29 series tanks, but it wasn’t ready in time, so they just decided to use the Ford GAA (the same engine used in the later Sherman variants), resulting in a vehicle with the power to weight ratio of trying to tow a pair of fully loaded semi trailers using a 1970s station wagon.

@@reinbeers5322 because the Allisons were needed for aircraft production, which had priority. Also, the Allison was never designed for ground use, and I’m not sure how well it would have worked.

Yeah this is the problem for me with prototype vehicles in all these games, a lot of these were just stop-gap solutions while the actual combat-use vehicle would have received proper engine and mobility fixes in place. On the opposite, "paper projects" that get added to games often contain over-optimistic stats on equipment that was planned in theory, while in practice it might not be possible to actually implement or if so, not necessarily be able to employ into full potential (like for example many engines needing to have their power output reduced or RPM limited because they'd break otherwise)

Fun fact: the T95 actually isn’t the slowest tank in War Thunder. The actual slowest tank is the 2C/2C Bis.

Two interesting semi-unique Polish vehicle from the Cold War I'd want in the game (With Germany obviously, cause that's where the Leo 2 PL went) are the BWO-40 & BWP-40. These were prototype IFVs, the latter was a BMP-1 with a CV90 turret armed with a 40 mm Bofors gun, while the former was an MT-LB. The only BWP-40 prototype was finished in 1993, while the BWO-40 was a prototype only.

I will say, some of the most fun I've had in Warthunder recently is playing a full squad of T-95s with friends. You just make a wall, your team thinks it's funny, the enemy team has a brain freeze when they see 4 roll around a corner. It's a good time.

Day 49 of asking you to play the Challenger 2 Black Knight Spook, the hard kill APS can even intercept aircraft munitions which will help with your CAS issue! You may also want to take some HESH, as they have improved its consistency against single layer homogeneous armour since the last update.

Happy to hear you're doing better, take care and don't work too hard. You should totally play the Marder III (not the H). It's surprisingly fast for a low tier vehicle and it's "neutral steering" is really good as well. And you can bring the Duck for shiggles.

The way I put it is like this with the t95. You might move slower than sin. But you don't need a vertical stabilizer because you are so slow. You can literally be going your maximum possible speed and firing with your maximum possible accuracy all while having the ability to wiggle and throw off your enemies aim. In case no one has mentioned it yet, the L15A2 that the Type 99 has access to is the strongest SPG HE in the game. It can overpressure the Maus by ricochet-ing off the barrel. Very fun vehicle since its reload is fixed at 7.5 sec making it a better VIDAR minus the stabilizer at 7.3 instead of 8.0

whereas the tortoise looks like it was made to be a casemate, I think this thing almost looks like they made a giant hull, realised putting a turret on would totally destoy the chance of it moving, so instead shoved a cannon in the front and called it a day.

You aren’t supposed to chug protien shake, take sips at alternate timings, however if you are starting out a new tub of protien shake take 1/4 of a scoop for the first 2 days and increase it to the full scoop in after 2 weeks

The one thing I recommend to any tutel player is to do the tactical full body wiggle when either reloading or creating a hill, to avoid losing your barrel.
