The 'Small' Significance of Plushtrap

Plushtrap is a fairly overlooked character, in terms of design and purpose, and for good reason. Compared to basically all of FNAF 4's jampacked features, Plushtrap comes down to a cool minigame between nights. So today, I wanted to dive deep into every single one of Plushtrap’s appearances in the Five Nights at Freddy's series and try to pinpoint Plushtrap’s true purpose (if there even is any).

Plushtrap is the greatest creature to grace this franchise and I will never think otherwise. Shame his partner in crime, Nightmare Balloon Boy never made it to Special Delivery

Plushtrap is such a weird addition since 4 was basically a Fnaf 1 love letter and only use the main 5 plus shadow Freddy for some reason

There is also a mother character similar which was nightmare who’s only appearance in a mainline fnaf game was fnaf 4 obviously but game theory did say it represented death and based on how similar it is to nightmare Fredbear (which was the thing that ended up killing him) I think that’s true I just wished he appeared in more mainline fnaf games

If you look closely at his render in FNAF 4's extras menu, you can see that he has stitching on his texture too, it seems FNAF AR just tried to highlight it

1:50 I don't know why but I feel nothing when looking at any of these but even seeing Nightmare Fredbear in my peripheral vision makes me a little nervous and then I go right back to normal when he goes away

Your videos are so good to watch! Each one being very interesting. I didn't even notice the Plushtrap room in the breaker room map had 5 dots. I think a character that you could review next is Lolbit, she has quite a presence in the laters games

I think the nightmare animatronics were real because in dittophobia it's said that the nightmare gas (as i like to call) doesn't change how the nightmares look but makes them move smooter and also nightmares are in help wanted wich means they were official fazbear characters not just experiments by William and in fallfest 83 we see grim foxy who is just an edited version of nightmare foxy wich could mean the nightmare animatronics were used at fallfest

Terrible theory time, the reason there are 5 plushtraps on the SL screen is because there are 5 nights where at the end you catch one and take it away in between each

5:22 I always knew that Plushtrap had his own unique game mode in FNAF Special Delivery, but I never actually checked out what the game mode was like. I didn't play the game myself, I haven't watched a KZfaq video of someone playing it; I just never saw what it was like. But now I've finally saw what it looks like for the first time and I gotta say, this looks pretty cool and a lot of fun. I know FNAF Special Delivery gets a lot of hate and flack from a lot of fans but I personally thought the game was pretty awesome. And the Plushtrap game mode here is just a good example of that. It's a shame that FNAF Special Delivery is shutting down but hey, guess nothing can last forever. But yeah Plushtrap's game mode in this game; really cool looking

Plushtrap give me cringe PTSD from a time I was playing FNaF 4 in school and made a big commotion over beating him but nobody cared and told me to shut up, even in the moment I knew I was being dumb. I can never look at fun with plushtrap the same

My mini theory is that the four other dots in plushtrap’s hallway depicted in sister location breaker room are minireenas. In help wanted, there is a rare Easter egg where minireenas peek out of the doors in the plush trap level. Scott claims he “clarifies” past controversies/ambiguities using sequels, and it’s likely he passed on this philosophy to SteelWool. Also, Scott famously said that “everyone assumed I filled the game with random Easter eggs, I didn’t” in reference to fnaf4. Naturally, the minireena Easter egg in help wanted is a nugget of lore meant to tie in with sister location.

Its me the almighty plushtrap the evilist fnaf villian. This is what ethgoesboom version of the character was like personally its the best version of plushtrap imo
