He gives life to a story that happened like 10 years ago. He and the other players make me want to be at the tournaments as well. I think this whole serie documentary is making me jealous of how awesome their lives are/were.

Guys the reason Kpop was played because if you were a top donator during the kickstarter for this documentary, you got to request a song that would be played, and Samox (The Producer) Figured this is the only place where it even remotely fits.

I was 14 when I first watched this documentary. I played smash four a bit competitively well in terms of online lol. But this documentary made me love the competitive side of smash. I instantly fell in love with Ken and all the legends of smash and I miss them in the scene so much. Isai was instantly my favorite. But I’ve always wanted to play melee at a competitive level when I was young but never did. Because I couldn’t find tournaments and I was young. I fell out of love with the game for a few years but gotten back into smash recently at least ultimate. But this documentary is what awaken my competitive side and it’s a great documentary.

Super underappreciated sequence that gets me every time I watch this: "Check this out, I got two plates. How ritzy is that? I AM THE MARTH SLAYER." Unsurprising that there are so many excellent smash cuts in a Smash documentary.

Personally, I started getting into Smash seriously around 2011. The only reason I got into it was because I watched old Ken MLG videos, then got into the most recent tournament series.

As someone who did not know the history of melee at all, it feels as though Wife is that anime character that nipped at the heels of the protagonist. In this imaginary flashback episode, Husband leaves after Wife loses to Ken. Wife then holds the grudge against Ken cos everything would’ve been different if Wife had won that day.

22:43 as I get older watching this doc that inspired me in 2014 to play marth . It really made me sad to see a young ken surrounded by smashers and good vibes transition to a older ken by himself really made me sad . We get older and sometimes we grow apart from people and it’s just you sometimes but that’s ok . I know I’m looking too deep into it but sometimes I just think about how fast time went . It’s been 9 years since I watched this documentary for the first time and I’m still playing marth. 😭 this doc changed my life

Did you see the Isai episode? In that last set of Ken vs Isai it becomes freacking clear as shit that Ken and Isai went toe-to-toe with each other, Isai might have not had tried, but he sure has shit didn't "let" Ken become the GOAT

dLzzz .. Every time they went against each other and Isai tried as hard as he could, he beat Ken. Every tournament that he entered and really wanted to win, he did. Isai had the makings of the greatest player to ever play the game, but his shyness and emotional issues stopped him. So, he let his friend have the spotlight.

I know people meme about the "everything would've been different" line, but you can really feel the emotion coming from wife. It's very clear he's reliving a moment he's not proud of & the pain of barely falling short of glory. It's actually quite moving.
