I was 17. This Album changed my life. Not in like a saving my life way, but it pivoted me from rap/hip hop back over to rock. In the 80’s I was all about the hair bands, then the rap revolution happened early 90’s went full into that, then a short time later the pumpkins brought me back home. I’m so thankful and happy to have been that age back then. It was the best time to be alive. ❤

When and where did you feel that everything changed in your life? When did you know the magic of life was long behind? The 90s are still right where they were, but we moved on. Why? What happened? When did you realize that those close friends in your life had drifted off and were no longer there when you turned around? Kids, a house, a career, money, the machines of tradition...age robbed us of our time. Time stole our age. If I don't survive my illness, I'm going straight back, and I promise to send you a postcard 😢
@leonsus93172 күн бұрын
The hustle and bustle is real my man. What you said about time stealing our youth is truer words spoken. I realized when I was about 35. 42 now. Got 2 grown kids 18 and 17. Getting more and more tired every day that goes by. Seems like all we do now is go to work, go home and go to sleep. When you think of time, you think, maybe I'll manage my time better but, time always ends up managing you in the end. I thought a long time ago I would live forever. But time has shown me different. I would love to go back to the 90s, it seemed so much simpler then. Take care my guy. I hope you get better. 🙏🏻

This whole album is a clinic in songwriting, drums fills, riffs, guitar tone, it’s a staple of the 90’s and also timeless. With all do respect, I’ve always wondered how they would sound if Billy gave up the vocals and had a singer like Chris Cornell. I felt the same about Rage Against the Machine and we All got to see that with the formation of Audioslave.. I’m very happy that Jimmy was able to come back and that James is still James.

My sister is moving out of state tomorrow, we’re both in our 40’s and things are going to change. Maybe she won’t be here for my parents when they pass, or maybe she/I pass away and we never get to say goodbye. So much time that we didn’t take advantage of prior to her moving, but the times we hung out were some of the greatest times of my youth. She introduced me to the Pumpkins around 94ish, and I remember jamming them on her bass when I really got serious about bass. This song ironically Came up today, and I sit here tearing up typing this, because for so long I just shut my emotions off, and now they’re back. I’m gonna miss my big sister, and this song is what I identify her with, it’s her song from me. I love you Jess!

Awesome song, from an awesome album, and all from an awesome AF band. I would give anything to go back to 1993 again, to hear Siamese Dream for the first time all over again, to be 14 years old all over again, to actually have fun again, and just to be happy, at all, and just flat out happy to even be alive all over again. Everything is s**t now...the Country, the World, Life itself, and every single aspect of it. Even worse when you realize that things will never be good again, normal again, or really even any fun again, either. Getting older sucks complete a*s...which is ironic, because when most of us are young, all we want to do is grow up, and get older, but then when we get there/here, all we want to do is go back again, especially to a time that was normal, and made some kinda d**n sense, at all, which it does not anymore, at all. Here's to the better times, the better days, and to a time of much better music, too...🍻.

@@billsultzbach7079 Most definitely. Unfortunately, not just hard to find good in the World today, which is, most definitely, hard to find, or almost, really, impossible to ever really come by anymore, but I'd just settle for a normal d**n World again, with things that made some sort of, or any kind of, sense, at all. Everything is completely f**ked up now, and I do mean everything, too. Society, along with so much of this World, and this Country, especially so much within this Country, is a 100% ridiculous clusterf**k now...and, in so many ways, too, so much is a d**n joke now as well. Crazy times, and f**ked up times now, as well, that's for 100% certain.

Good is absolutely out there. It’s just not on the internet with a handful of exceptions like this. Hang in there and keep fighting the good fight. 42 years old, struggled on and off with depression in my late 20s and into my 30s, but I’ve found plenty of good even in the dark times. Life has been serving up a lot of goodness lately. All this to say, share a smile with a stranger, turn off the computer, breathe fresh air and count your blessings. It sounds cliche as hell; but I’m an old angsty punker and if I can find some peace and calm, you will too!
