Excellent. Ground conditions of the wilderness nor roads and freeways in town like on the news . USGS has river gauges for cfm on all rivers and located at differing spots. 25 years ago I was watching flash floods in az by monitoring the gauges when I am going to go to a proba area hiking . Paria Canyon. Document it .

Hey Mike, my friend and I steelhead fishing in Jan 25+ years ago, fishing Brundean hole we planned on camping on the gravel bar, it was tomrain 2 inches overnight, not familiar with a 2 in rain on river, so decided to head to campground, went back next day OMG HOLEE SHEEPSIHIT, GRAVELBAR UNDERWATER redwood trees licking bottom of bridges.

That's what it looked like. I just got a DJI mini pro 4 about a month ago, and I'm pretty darn cautious with the thing, since I definitely don't have muscle memory on how to fly it. So I'm appreciative of your videography and what it takes to get it.

Benbow is south of Garberville and north of Richardson Grove on hwy 101. It is on a fork of the Eel River.

@@paulafugate3210 I was there about 50 years ago. Looks like there is no dam now. When I was there it was like a lake. Not just a river. We were staying at the Benbow campground. I remember frogs covering the road near the Benbow Inn as we were leaving.

I don't think they stop traffic on the weekends. But it is certainly a bit of a wait, usually an hour. I have had some nice conversations though with fellow drivers, and it gives you an opportunity to see places in the road that normally you're white knuckling through with someone panting behind you to go faster. 😁. It actually gives you an opportunity to maybe fly a drone in a place where you normally couldn't. I might bring mine and try it next time I get stuck in traffic over there.
