It is a demo that was recorded in Johnny Marr's attic. A few years ago the complete version was obtained, which is this and yes, it is legit

@@jesuslovesyou5384 In the book "Songs That Saved Your Life" there is more information about the song, they said they would sing it in '82 they called it the "sha la la la" song and Johnny Marr never knew how it was heard at the time it was played twice in 1982 in live concerts

Dude, he played this live twice It’s a cover of a 60s song by the cookies. He is known to be fond of doing covers from that decade, and he writes his music from different perspectives. Chill out.

Have you ever read any Smiths lyrics? They mostly are about romantic relationships, he has sung songs about relationships with men, women, and songs about having children, so you are wrong on three levels. People can sing lyrics that are not autobiographical you know. Nobody said he was anything, it's a demo tape from Johnny Marr's attic in 82, there are other demo tapes as well. This is 100% not fraudulent, nobody can imitate Morrissey's voice, or Johnny Marr's guitar playing.

Although I feel there should be nothing wrong if that were true, I think the only reason anyone would say that is because how he talks, acts, and his likes, and dislikes. I think that is bogus though. That is in retrospect insinuating that Morrissey is a liar, or doesn't know what he is. Gay isn't a look or sound, it is a sexual preference, and if he said he isn't attracted sexually to anyone, I believe him, but it also doesn't matter if he was. I am not attracted sexually to anyone, not interested in that anymore, does that make me gay? I mean I have similar likes as Morrissey as far as literature goes, same musical influences, I was obsessed with New York Dolls too, means nothing as it pertains to sexuality.
