The monkey in Nagano Prefecture that lives in the snow mountain likes hot spring. It is famous for the name of SNOW MONKEY. A station that is the nearest Jigokudani Monkey Park is YUDANAKA.

旅猿で岡村さんと東野さんが訪れた地獄谷野猿公苑(2011年3月14日放送中止→21日放送に延期)の猿達。厳しい風雪に耐え、温泉で暖をとる猿で有名な長野の地獄谷温泉（2011年3月撮影）。
最寄駅は長野電鉄湯田中駅（長野電鉄長野駅から特急スノーモンキー号で45分）。湯田中駅前からバス、もしくはタクシーで10分弱の上林温泉へ向かう。上林温泉から地獄谷野猿公苑入り口ゲートまで10分歩き、ゲートから40分弱の林道を歩き地獄谷温泉に到着。
この撮影はAVCHDで保存しました。mtsファイルを編集し、mpeg2(1080 60i)で出力したデータを投稿しています。

I just love the way they care for one another. I honestly think the grooming adds to their laid-back demeanor, not ton even mention their intelligence. I saw them on PBS in 1972 snd never forgot how organized their lives were.

It seems their personality as a quiet, but in fact it is a wild animal Very. Their appearance to enjoy the hot spring looks likely really comfortable. However, outside of the video, we are each other playfully or you can fight each other in the snow. I also want to see the video of 1972 that you saw.

your2loft2 you are absolutely right, they are still wild animals, I get that but they're so intelligent. I hope I do see that clip agsin on PBS. Since 1972 I think I have seen it twice. If I ever do sgain, I will record it and send it to you!!

Yes, you can see there by daytrip. but too busy. I recommend lodging than a day trip to take a lot of photographs. There are many hotels belonging to a hot spring near.

Monkey is very similar to humans. In particular, I'm just like me, Spring has come to Japan, the monkey is going to act more actively in the woods.

@asafscher Am I misunderstanding about AVCHD ? I set to the FSH mode, and am taking a picture of animation. The size of the file of this animation of 16 minutes is 2.6GB. The size of the screen is 1920x1080. When animation is preserved on the memory card, TZ20 is preserved with mts. I am using mts in the memory card directly.

So just to be clear, this raw footage is AVCHD Lite file with an .MTS extension? And what is the size of that file?

@your2loft2 WOW, this is pretty crazy. I have the DMC-TZ7 and it captures video to 720p quality. an equivalent 16 minutes clip would weigh about 1.6GB, so this 1920x1080 resolution is pretty heavy and doesn't worth it

@asafscher TZ20 saves data by the FullHD image quality. Therefore, volume of data grows more than TZ7 that preserves the HD image quality. However, it is worthy of FullHD. By the way, .mts is the same volume of data as .m2ts.

@asafscher Yes. The size becomes extra large if animation is edited and it outputs it by 1080p. I think it is worthy for the viewer :-) ...Sorry I am not good at english.
