The SNP and Independence are toast for at least a generation thanks to the total lack of preparation by the SNP in the last 17 years. Scotland now has a £ 20 + BILLION budget deficit which has to be funded, no real improvement in both internal and export infrastructures, declining education, health and local services; Promises of 100,000 children taken out of poverty, FREE bikes, laptops and money for nothing along with the FERRIES debacle, the assumption of keeping the GBP and other costly matters such as borders with the RUK, export tariffs, fisheries protection vessels. The list is endless because NOTHING has been done. There will always be those who cannot accept it, but, it's a fact that reality is a cruel mistress as Useless has just found out.

But there would need to be a massive change in attitude to state hand outs, paying tax and generally a total change of approach. Otherwise it would be a disaster. Certainly the SNP don't have the capability or vision to deliver it.

If the SNP were that confident, then why not go to the country for an overall majority?

Being as how the greens have fallen out with the SNP who have now said they'll never work with them but Swinney has come out and said he wants to work with the unionist parties - it's a tangled and weird way to work if the SNP are odds on to win - don't you think, or is there some obscure SNP loony juice explanation ?
