It’s a major pain. Has happened to me three times this week while playing Baldurs Gate. I need to save every 10 minutes otherwise I end up losing a lot of playtime.

This happens to me while I’m playing literally every game, not just Minecraft. My Xbox crashed maybe once a month, and my switch crashes 3-5 times a day on a variety of games.

This happened to me while I was playing Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 a few times. Lucky for me, the game autosaves whenever you clear a campaign stage, so it wasn't that big of a deal. It's just annoying that it keeps happening every few hours or so.

Just in case someone else comes here for Switch Minecraft... I tried everything, reformatting the sd card - as that's where minecraft was originally installed... reinstalling on the reformatted sd card and also on the system memory... still crashed. Tried clearing all data through the system memory options... still crashed. Tried shutting off the system tried it all and multiple times /combinations. Nothing fixed it. What was the problem? My daughter can't use her account. I had to run it from my account... didn't want to sign in to test so I chose run offline - she's been playing it now for about 25 minutes. Now I suppose I need to go to Nintendo and start a ticket because something with her account is messed up? What a pain. I hope this helps someone!

It’s been happening a lot to me when I was playing Sonic colors ultimate. How I got it to work was uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

This recently started happening to me. The first time the game was loading and the screen never came back up. The second time it said something about a connection error even though I was playing a physical game. The 3rd and 4th this same screen came up after I saved my game in Okami. Idk what's up it's a brand new switch lite.

Sometimes this happens for AC:NH for me, but if I put the Nintendo Switch on the floor without touching I can make it past the loading screen!

I get crashes on Witcher 3 and Baldur's Gate on cartridge crashing, the rest of my games are digital and no problem with those.

I have this problem with minecraft but only occasionally when I leave a world. It would save it then crash. No starting up black-screens. No mid game crashes.

Just solved this issue for Minecraft! (I’m playing it via a game card) So, a week or so ago I got this game for Christmas. My brother boight it for me brand new, and it worked smoothly until a couple days ago, where I could get into the game, but when I tried to load a world, it would come up with that message. What I did was I took the chip out of my switch, made sure everything was closed, then restart my switch (Long press on the power and it’ll come up with a fee options- press restart). After I powered it back on, I put the chip back in, and the game is now working fine. I hope this helps a bit.

Minecraft Bedrock Edition seems to be pretty unstable on the Switch. I’ve had the game crash to the HOME Menu multiple times while playing, crash while trying to close it, and it even crashed my Switch completely once.

This happens to me every time I try to play smash which is probably the game I play the most and now that it’s been striped away from me I’m a very sad man.

Don’t know if anyone can help here, but I just got a replacement Switch for my old one that Nintendo couldn’t repair a few days ago. Within less than 2 hours of use, it froze, made a noise and turned my switch off. After when it got working again, I got an error message that read “the software closed because an error occurred”, without an error code. This only occurs while docked. Has anyone here had this issue before? Is there a fix that doesn’t involve sending it to Nintendo? (Don’t wanna risk losing save data like what happened the first time I sent a switch in)

I was making awesome stuff on Minecraft Switch OVER A WEEK OF REDSTONE, And then today, a error occoured this happens every once in a while you know, so I’m thinking maybe my world would save to the latest one considering I hit the save and quit button, but then, I was in a different location from where I started a few minutes earlier and I was like okay, that dosen’t mean anything, then I went in to my house, found the hidden staircase I made and it’s still not finished. I’m like: I made this a few days ago why is thi and then I went down and found no staircase had been built. I was so PISSED OFF Because I LOST A WEEK OF MINECRAFT REDSTONE. this happens to me sometimes while I'm playing Minecraft, but only when it's docked. I've never had any problems with it while in handheld mode, and all games (Super Mario Odyssey, Minecraft, Fortnite, etc.) run smoothly, but whenever I dock it down I can't play games for long. It might be my TV (it's kinda old oops) but it upsets me since I bought my Switch yesterday. Does anyone know a possible fix? :(
