Imagine this: the level four biological laboratory in Wuhan province created something similar to the solanum virus, it spread rapidly and the Chinese were forced to release the coronavirus as it was so easily transmitted, so that they could stem the spread of the zombie virus, they contained the zombie bug, but didn’t manage the coronavirus and here we are now.

The thing that bothered me the most about the movie was the zombies avoiding the sick but at the same time happily throwing themselves off skyscrapers, why didn't they just trample the sick instead of parting like the red sea to Mosses?

It is something about the virus not wanting to contract another virus that could destroy its host. No idea about the cancer though. Maybe the virus sees cancer as a spreadable disease too.

Think of the infected as an infected cell in a body; and the sick person as a separate virus in a body. Its going to avoid that other virus for survival. Those infected weren't thinking, they were looking to spread to other normal "cells" instinctively.

It would have been amazing to see stories like the German captain leaving Hamburg behind as he unwillingly leaves them to the zombies or the heated tension between Iran and Pakistan before the nukes drop. @@cooleKinder Correction: populations that have close contact with animals tend to create more disease. Case in point: there aren’t nearly as many diseases that originated in the Americas compared to ones that originated in Europe, Asia, etc, solely because the people living there before the 1600s did not have much contact with animals, making it harder to transmit diseases from animals to humans. That’s why so many of the diseases that affected people in the U.S in the 1900s were originally brought to the U.S by European immigrants.

After re-watching the movie and reading the book I was absolutely suprised at how much I loved the book more than the movie. The one scene of this movie I liked was when they lured the zombies to an arena then just bombed them. Zombie hoards are dangerous but easily defeatable. That's why most zombie movies have to show government and military breakdowns to heighten the tension.

China people have learnt and that’s why they can recover from covid 19 so quickly and effectively. USA has not learnt from SARS, or better say, they have no intention to learn. CIA spreaded covid 19 in China in late 2019 but unluckily they could not control the virus from returning back to US.

You forgot to mention that the virus in the movie is very different from the one in the book. In the book, the zombies are very much the classic romero type shamblers that will eat prey down to the bones if not distracted even though they do not require sustenance. And infection is a lot slower, though it depends on the bite's distsnce from the brain.

I feel like someone ha the idea of the zombie tower and they lost sight of everything else they could've used from the book, my personal favorite being the comparison of the Battle of Yonkers to the later battles. It really deserves a Contagion style movie, where everything about fighting the virus is dissected and the crucial and interesting details are shown. The best part about its depiction of multiple narratives is you get to see the effects outside of one individual, you get to see the doctor treating "Patient Zero" and the first incidents that grabbed the globes attention, to the very end showing how the post zombie war world is very much different. Heck there's even a guy who tells his story from on the ISS, like how could the movie not use that-

The book was so good- it was believable, and I really liked the interview style and that it covered many different stories, each dealing with it in it’s own way. My wife and I watched the movie in the theater, which was a rarity for us- she loved it, and while I thought it was a good zombie movie, I didn’t like that it wasn’t a great representation of the source material- and I think that she only liked it so much because she had not read the book. Either way, though, it was a fun watch. Thanks for the video- stay safe and healthy!

@@MsDragonbal776 The Book was pretty good and I personally enjoyed it more than the Movie. Would be awesome to see some pre-war outbreak, post war fighting back against zombies now with the non-lethal pathogen to conceal and fight the zombies. They can even do spinoffs like how Israel deal with the situation after the zombies breach the city, or even in the US military base in Korea, how it first got attacked by the zombies, survive, and facilitate Gerry and his team and after that what happened, and pretty much many other countries too, basically creating 1 big universe.
