Dressrosa is basically an upgraded form of Alabasta. - Both of the main antagonists are the charismatic type of warlord who is trying to sneakily gain control over a nation related to the 20 kingdoms yet Doffy already achieved that before we got there - Machvise's Ton-Ton and Gladius' Pop-Pop fruits are upgraded versions of Ms. Valentine's Kilo-Kilo and Mr.5's Bomb-Bomb fruits respectively - Both have an extremely strong (for the time) member of the marines who is more moral and is playing a 3rd party role - Luffy's brother appears for the first time since they were children, starts using fire powers - this time instead of being like 3rd-5th in charge of WBs crew, he's 2nd in charge of the revolutionaries - and fights the marine to protect Luffy - The princess of the kingdom infiltrated the ranks of the warlord in order to eventually overthrow the villain (Vivi and Viola) theres probably more i just can't think of anymore off the top of my head

adding on: -Luffy defeated a fishman before entering the grand line and the new world (Arlong and Hordy) -Ace gave Luffy a piece of his vivre card, Sabo took a piece of Luffy's vivre card -Luffy met a navy chasing after him (Smoker and Fujitora) -Senor Pink and Miss Merry Christmas (both could travel underground) -Lao G and Miss Monday (insane strength) -Trebol and Mr.3 (wax and mucus) -Sugar, Giolla, and Miss Golden Week (little girl and color-related ability) -Baby-5 and Mr.1 (weapon vs blade)

The Shichibukai defeats Luffy leaving him at near death only for Luffy to come back and win later on They both trick the populations of their nations into hating the noble Royal Family and fighting against them Both have weak Princesses who befriend Luffy and try their hardest to stop the Shichibukai themselves but can't In the end the Straw Hats have to flee the island from the moral Marines who question whether or not to capture the pirates because they know the Straw Hats just saved the nation The Shichibukai is arrested by the moral Marines who take him to Impel Down Zoro gets lost Pretty much the same arc

I'm with you except Gladius' rupture fruit is in no way an upgrade to a bomb fruit. *Gladius himself* is the upgrade there because he's 1000% better at *using* the fruit he has. Mr. 5 was seriously wasting what should be an over-powered ability. 😅 Also: - A reluctant marine chases Luffy but also hangs back and lets him do his thing. (And Issho takes that further of course.) And amusingly, the closest thing they have to an echo of Vivi's role is Law. 😂

When Rebecca first showed Luffy the Kyros statue, she mentioned that it had been there for at least 20 years, but no one could remember him. The statue, obviously erected before he became a toy, is the only reason he hasn't been *truly* forgotten, but the disconnect between the truth and the peoples' doctored memories has caused him to become like mythical.

Man I love the staw hats Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Nami, Usopp, Chopper Franky and Brook are all great characters kinda wish the had another member maybe an archaeologist that would be pretty cool. It's also a shame Nami is the only female member.

Time to give a backstory: if you go to minute 2:14 you will see Wapol Wednesday on his mouth which is from his streams. One time on Frieza Friday we were suggesting other cosplays like Moria Monday and Trebol Tuesday then Maxine314 typed Wapol Wednesday and of course Jack loved this getting very close to his mic saying “GuYS wE ARe nOT dOiNg WApol WeDnesdAY” so now every stream Maxine314 joins making Wapol Wednesday puns. BTW I’m Maxine314 :)

Almost everyone has a stronger but similar fruit - mirroring Crocodiles Crew: Mole-Women/Sen. Pink, Mr.5/Gladius, Mr.3 (wax)/Trebol, Crocodile or Mr.1/Pika, Kilo-Kilo Fruit/Ton-Ton Fruit is the most obvious. Pop-Pop!

It does kinda feel like Usopp's cowardice was forcefully made way worse during Dressrosa, but I'm guessing if you did some kinda deep dive into his bravery moments it'd end up being that one of the monster trio is nearby so he's less scared. Plus in this scenario, Usopp isn't even trying to think about what he can do to help. He's just trying to think about what he can do to get as far away as possible. Still seems forced, but at the very least I can read his mind a bit.

That’s how I feel about it too. Even Arlong Park he would be comfortable fighting since he’s a distance away from the worst of it and others are doing the heavy lifting. Seems like Oda wrote Usopp to be the worst version of himself in a contrived way because Usopp until Dressrosa was fairly confident

So the reason Rebecca looks like that at 16 is the same reason most Shonin anime protags are 16-19. So just for information that is apparently widely misinformed in North America, but the legal age of consent is regulated by state and average range is 16-18. In most of the world the range is 16-18. Biggest difference between 16 and 18 in this context is that a lot of places stick with 18 since that would be the age at which they can have relations *and record it for money*. Biggest difference between foreign countries 16 and our 16 is that other countries teach sex ed and educate their peoples about their own bodies before they cause a population boom. 16 is the base limit for military personnel as well.

16 is usually legal marrying age and often the age where you are able to be legally charged as an adult in a court of law as well. 18 is usually the age of concent for "explicit" things

"Why is she dressed like that?" - Well, she's dressed like a gladiator, and rather conservatively, I might add. There were female gladiators in Rome as well, you know. And the point of gladiator outfits is to expose as much skin as possible, in order to increase the viewers' excitement and to allow as much blood to flow from shallow cuts as possible.
