Post Malones did a whole Nirvana covers set he streamed during Covid as a fundraiser was incredible. He sounded unbelievable and was backed with travis barker on drums too. Well worth watching that if you can. Not even really a fan of his but that’s so good.

I just remembered Krist of Nirvana ironically said like“Next album will be a rap album. It’s about guns, money, sex and drag…” in a show around 1994. But true future became cooler than he thought, koz Nirvana gave big influence to great hip hop artists. In addition, I’ve gotta mention that my 13yrs son often listens to Nirvana songs on Apple Music, even though I’ve never recommended to him. I couldn’t imagine that when I was a kid and listening to Nirvana in 90s.😂

I think the reason Nirvana isn't sampled much is that they're not very "groove" oriented. They're more about cool chord progressions and catchy melodies.

Not sure if you've heard this but "Atari Teenage Riot" by the band/group of the same name samples the riff from "Smells Like Teen Spirit" as well.

There is sampling...and being being inspired by or... Kurt inspired me to my soul and you can hear him in me. but I would never "sample" anything as a songwriter. I don't know how to do that in these peoples minds respectfully. Or perhaps that it their way. Who am I too judge? If music has influenced you, it has worked.

Are you going to say that any song that includes the words "The choice is/was yours/his/hers/mine/theirs" released after Come As You Are is a reference to Nirvana? Kurt didn't invent the phrase.
