Ole Miss has three National Championships in football, but it was quite a while ago....The Grove is awesome! Hotty Toddy!

Unless you count women's golf that beat OSU or Baseball that beat OU very recently!

That route is now referred to as The Walk of Champions. The iconic archway was provided in 1998 by the 1962 Rebel football team. This team was the only team in Ole Miss history to finish with a perfect 10-0 record. I have heard countless times from sec fans of other teams that their favorite away game to go to is Ole Miss and that the grove is such a unique experience. Enjoy yourself don't think just because they're Ole Miss fans that they wont be friendly show an interest and you'll be invited to the tent 9 times out of 10. Go tailgate experience the grove. Experience the walk of champions hopefully the gates are down this year. be friendly with everyone talk to some of the people at the tents try the food. Get the full experience if you get there right before the game time and walk straight to your seats you're missing out on so much fun and tradition. Regardless of what happens at the game you will have a good time.

@@willis9542 Thank you so much for the insight and for checking out our video! We are both thrilled to go and can’t wait to explore Oxford. It truly sounds like a blast.

Well, the bowl game in Shreveport, LA in 1999, 12,31 didn’t go Oklahoma’s way. Ole Miss won. But congratulations to OU for being undefeated in 2000, and National Championship.

The Grove was awarded by several publications, the last USA Today declared it the prettiest college campus.

As an ole miss grad….you just walk into either the grove or the circle….the walking path have street names so if your calling someone you can tell them which path your on, just slow and keep looking as the walking pace is smooth but a little bumpy

I would suggest go to city grocery, Boure, SoLa, Saint Leo, Ajax Diner just to name a few

You could look into staying in Batesville, it’s only 30 minutes away has a variety of hotels
@tonydennis5287Ай бұрын
In the last three years Ole Miss is third in SEC wins and we have no fear of OU or Texas! I was in Austin when we drummed Texas!

One tradition before the game is having a celebrity start the first “hotty toddy” and it changes every home game

Guys, Ole Miss Grove experience is post-game for 11:00 AM kickoff. Don’t sweat it.

You will be welcomed in the Grove but in the stadium it’s a different environment.

Don’t take 55 from Memphis, go 22 to hwy 7, as a tip from being a student and making many trips to the airport
@williampalmer338Ай бұрын
Do not stay in Memphis. If you can’t get a hotel in Oxford, which there are a decent amount just always expensive, stay in Batesville, Pontotoc, or Tupelo.
@420rebelyellАй бұрын
Lots of places to stay and eat in Tupelo as well, and could probably fly into there. 45 minutes from oxford and pretty much a straight shot down the highway.
@user-qb9fv3bf2dАй бұрын
IK staying in Memphis seems like a good idea but there are alot better places to stay that are closer. Just depends which way youre coming from. Tupelo, Horn Lake & Southaven are just south of Memphis, Bahalia is tiny but has some good hotels, just saying. Id look into it a little more. Memphis is just too risky and the gameday traffic especially if Memphis and OM both have a home game is literally some of the worst in the south lol.
@TheSchoonerPodАй бұрын
@@user-qb9fv3bf2d Thank you for the advice, it’s really appreciated! The traffic is for sure a concern, especially given the early kickoff window.

Got a 3bedroom 3.5 bath brand new condo for rent Thursday thru Sunday. One mile from stadium and the square. $3500 a night. Three night minimum.

Batesville MS if still available is less than an hour from Oxford all inclusive. Has lots of hotels

Beer is not allowed at the Grove, don’t spill your cooler of beer in front of the police, confiscated, pour it in a solo cup. Cooking is not allowed in the Grove!

It’s also BS that most of the Ole Miss traditions are gone, I hate the woke student body the wiped the mascot away, I despise all grads of the 2000s for changing the university and not having any solutions like a typical democrat.

First, Oxford is way more East than South, second, not many teams have three NCs, third we just crushed y’all in Omaha! Lol
