This was from the Pine Barren's episode (season 3, episode 11). I forgot this episode was pure comedy as only Paulie and Christopher could do. In screwing up this collection from Valery, we were entertained when the Russian escaped and left the two for dead in the forest.

One of the best ironies throughout the show with Paulie was after all of the headaches he caused the Soprano crew between them and NY, was when he FINALLY had his moment face to face with Carmine, the guy didn't even really know who he was. John played him like a fiddle.

The Russian was a smooth Chad. Didn't get killed,took the ride with the money,didn't have to pay silvio a cent,made paulie and chrissy get lost almost killing eachother,created a frustrating situation for tony which made gloria lose her mind,made bobby lose sleep to go search for Christopher and Paulie...

My favorite thing about the sopranos is the way they show all these guys competing to be the most abusive, anti-social person around. If a person tries to act like they are on the same level then you immediately have to fight them until either you or they are dead.
