A knitting concert! I cant wait to hear and see this. My mom who taught me to knit, was born in Vienna so music was part of my childhood #Strauss. Im now 76 yo. Sound of Knitting, how absolutely wonderful!

I've began sewing your needle cases. It is so much fun I stayed up until 3 in the morning working on the first one. What a fantastic way to use lots of things in my stash. Finally a really fun place to use some favorite old buttons. I look forward to knitting along with you. I agree it's great to knit with music on, especially with no singing so I can concentrate on the knitting.

I've actually knit on stage myself. It was an open mike event, and I was accompanied by my husband's guitarist ( he's a bass player, so it wouldn't have worked as well, lol). This looks awesome!

You two just keep coming up with WONDERFUL. I enjoed being enveloped in orchestral music as I knitted and watched! I am curious what the composer might create with Arne/Carlos as inspiration: the clicking of needles, yarn winding, bunching up stitches, the concentration on each brow, changing colours, counting stitches...

What a fun project! I knit with Chiaogoo stainless steel needles and I don’t hear them at all. But I saw someone review the Forte set and they had a very distinct sound.

Looking forward to The Sound of Knitting. The Peer Gynt Suite was my first serious piece of music I heard 60 plus years ago as a teenager in my school in Glasgow, Scotland.

Me too! Though I was living in Orkney, then Caithness! As a student, in 1980, I worked one summer in a hotel in Høvringen, up on the edge of the Norwegian Rondane mountains. It’s where both Ibsen and Greig visited for inspiration about Peer Gynt. It was a wonderful place and I loved it there. I never got to Trondheim, much as I wanted to, though I did visit Lillehammer. I am now living in Orkney and am looking forward to attending some of the events in the St Magnus Festival this year, I might even take my knitting! 😉
