Most great guitarists are specialists in a particular style, genre, or on a certain type of guitar, but this young man is mesmerising whether flat-picking Gypsy Jazz, playing a flawless Classical or Baroque style, or doing some fingerstyle Jazz wizardry on a hollow-body! It's rare that a single guitarist can evoke Django, Segovia, Bream, Hall, Scofield, Metheny, Holdsworth, Zappa so effortlessly. To boot, his arrangements are harmonically stunning with rich counterpoint, as evidenced by this rendition of a popular song.

Right between a classic piece and a jazz ballad, played with expressiveness and great technique. It is not possible to do better than this, and above all the atmosphere suits the lyrics of the song. For me it is a masterpiece!

I think Paul Simon, Pat Metheny and Joe Pass (though now long gone from us) all would be proud, and perhaps in awe, of this arrangement and performance.
