Eldorado Park nicknamed Eldos is a coloured neighborhood in Johannesburg South Africa.Afrikaans is the language spoken here.
It's a feared coloured township. Many say it's dangerous here. It's said it harbours a lot of criminal activities, bad gangsters and all that. That's the only side it's known according to Media 🤷
But is this the only side of Eldorado Park?
Some things can be a little exaggerated but we here to find out.
Will take this walk in different directions, different streets, assumed scary areas and leave no stone unturned.
In the process of this walk I came across bad and good gangs and this happened..

I will never ever invest my money nor go to this country ever again. I was told my investment is not welcome and then they proceeded to steal from me everything I had when I had come there because Ramaphosa told us at an event to invest in South Africa 🇿🇦. I was so disappointed, I cancelled all the meetings I had with potential partners who were looking at expanding their businesses and couldn’t get money from banks. I got on the next earlier flight out! And have never looked back! I won’t put my money where I am not welcome. Foreigners take the jobs no South African wants and they work overtime 7 days a week, hence why they have money. Any South African ca n do the same easily! But they chose not too and rely on government handouts!

The origin of coloureds in south Africa dates back from the arrival of Europeans in the cape peninsula (Vasco da Gama, Jan van reeburg), slaves taken from malasya, Indians taken from India to work in sugar plantation So these groups later inter-marry cross culture as a result coloured area was born There are various coloures groups among in coloured township From white/black, Indian/khoi San, colouerd/black, coloured/Malaysian, coloured/coloured..

@SkhumbuzoMathabela-wq8ug Vasco Da Gama has nothing to do with slavery in the Cape. He arrived in 1497 and left around 1502, Jan van Riebeek arrived in April 1652, Slave trade by the Dutch East India Company ran from the 1600s to the mid 1800s. Enslaved people were taken from a number of countries in South East Asia, Madagascar, Dahomey(Benin), Zanzibar, and accidental voyages that came from Mozambique. The Indian indentured labour has nothing to do with Coloured people, the Indian were brought by the British in the 1800s, and they came to Natal, not Cape, where slavery was. Not all Coloured people are descendants of enslaved people.

Not all coloured people are related to Khoisan people. Some coloured people are a mix of black and white and even Indian. It is a classification that was used by the apartheid system for any one who is of mixed descent, but this classification also included people of Khoisan descent. During apartheid the coloured people never said anything about being the original people, they were happy to assimilate to white people. They only started making a lot of noise after democracy to prove that they have a better claim to South Africa than Africans who are Bantus.

Ofcause there are unfortunate situations that happens in Eldos so as in any other part of South Africa. That alone shouldn't limit someone from visiting such places. Media goes with what people want to see. And they turn to make it sound really bad.Make it a no go zone yet in reality there will be some good and amazing areas in the same tarnished neighborhood. I came with a plan and I started visiting all Neighbourhoods painted bad and make public documentaries through my walk videos. Just to prove if I can walk these places anyone can. The thing about a coloured township, all dangerous townships for that matter is that it is not like a war zone where people be attacking, robbing and killing each other on the daily. there are certain times like weekends when a lot of people are intoxicated and want to release their frustrations and anger. There are also certain areas within that townships that are conducive to violence and violent behaviour. Most coloured townships speak their indigenous language that was taught to them under the apartheid regime, which is Afrikaans, that's not to say that they are speaking the 'Whites" language, in contrary Afrikaans actually belongs to the Coloured race, it's a derivative of the Dutch language which was brought to our shores by Jan van Riebeeck and the then Bushmen just watered it down and created Afrikaans so as to be able to communicate with the Dutch. On the other hand Coloured are more civilized as what the 'Black' south african race makes us out to be, so in Coloured townships. But as mentioned previously, if you want to see so-called 'action', then you will have to return on certain days, to certain areas and definately NOT DURING THE DAY. Most crimes and altercations occur during night time, when there are less witnesses around. If you were flashing jewellery and showing off cash and other valuables then you would see how qickly criminals will come out of hiding. You are like a person that watches a horror film with the light on and with people around to console you then when the film is over you turn around and say, "What was so scary about that movie". Walk in that area at night and on certain days then I am sure my man that you will be singing a different tune. I see what you are trying to do to get virws by exploiting Coloured people. Let me pose this question to you, do you see a coloured person doing what you are doing?????

@@Walk_Africa"After watching your video further, I gained a better understanding of your perspective. Initially, the write-up about Eldorado Park caught my attention as "The most dangerous Coloured township in South Africa", but the portrayal in the video seemed contradictory. At that time, societal and political issues were particularly sensitive for me, which influenced my initial reaction. I appreciate your efforts to shed light on Coloured culture and hope it encourages more positive discussions. Let's keep fostering understanding and unity. Well done." 🙌
