2 years this February 17, I lost my son to Gun Violence, 2 of his friends set him up and killed him,my heart still hasn’t healed. 2 years and I don’t know how to pick up the pieces to my broken heart. I was cool with William Jones Pops. We was in the streets together at the time. I helped pay for his funeral. Shit was a damn shame an Them boys was some crash dummies. I live up in Pa now an have told her some of the stories I got from the streets of DC an this was one of em. I'm way out the streets now and got my life together. I spoke to Nathaniel Simms before he was sentenced. It was hard but I wanted him to see what and who he took from me!!!! He's in witness protection which I didn't even know was a thing for prisoners. I learned a great deal having my only child slaughtered. The most important thing I learned is say it now not later because later may not come. Do it now because the next moment may never come. I had to do my Bri Bri's hair and makeup for her funeral NOT her prom or wedding. I'm crying so much now I cannot hardly breathe.

I went to PR Harris with 3 of the suspects and one of my best friends was of the 5 victims William Henry Jones aka Marley. I remember all the details as if it happened yesterday 🤦🏾‍♂️ may the 5 souls continue to rest peacefully.

No matter how painful it may be and how tragic it was, they deserve to have a 🕯️ burning bright in their name. Such evil exists among us. That bracelet didn't matter to him or his crew. They were waitin for any excuse to go crazy on the community. Any excuse gives these type of people a "reason". A "reason" in their sick minds keeps them from feeling guilty... it's the principal. There's never an excuse to take a life unless it's self defense. Im only 21 so I was about 8 when it went down but i definitely remember how deadly and vicious the streets of southeast were at this time every evening on the 5pm or 9pm news it would be deadly shootings all over pg county/southeast and northeast dc times haven’t changed to much either southside still going hard.

I remember this like it was yesterday. I also remember The Washington Post has a recording of the car chase that ensued. The chase went into PG County. The radio dispatch person was awesome. They arrested a 14 yr old, because when the foot chase began, the police ran into the Rec Center thinking one of the suspect went into the building, and Shorty put his hands up. When he put his hands up, he was accused of being one of the suspects. Unfortunately, it took a few days to clear his name which was shameful. The didn't get what they deserved...
