That "The Altarians have been destroyed" followed by the information that your war was 26% complete reminds me of when you're trying to vassalize some AI's in Stellaris and when you've wipe out their fleets, captured all their starbases and got everything but a single 2 pop world and they'd rather try to turn the tide of the war with 2 pops and no ships or shipyards than surrender.

@@kroanius8808 But they don't die. They submit, just only when you've actually taken everything as opposed to when they clearly can't win any more. It'd be like if you conquered an entire country except for a single village and in their capitol city their government was ripping up your offer of surrender and defiantly shouting "Jeff and Bob still haven't been captured! And these two noble nobodies from the a*** end of nowhere, with no weapons, vehicles or production capability, shall rise up and liberate our great nation from your ten million strong invasion! Just you wait! You'll see!" ...And then you capture Jeff and Bob as well and it suddenly becomes "Oh, well, fair's fair, we'll be your vassal state then.".

The thing with All DLC's its just more management and stuff that stops you focusing on the basics of enjoying combat more and strategy not miromanaging ecconomies to get some some advantage if you can bother with min maxing rules.. I enjoyed earlier Gal Civs much as it was focuses on fun not economy past the basics not having to worry about improvement placements etc etc
