The Dominions series is considered amongst the best strategy games of all time and Dominions 6 promises to be the best of them all. There are a lot of Quality of Life changes in the game as well as fleshing out new and changed game mechanics. The can be daunting for new players to embrace and so I hope my tutorial series helps to ease you into the game.

This is extra helpful. I thought I kinda knew my way a round before I got the game and then I’m totally lost once I was in the game haha, so I’m coming back here a lot.

Addendum notes: Remember casters can use gems in combat to temporarily boost the appropriate path by 1.

Lore wise something happened to the dwarves. They are around here and there but not common. Jotunheim can summon the 4 dwarves of different directions when all are summoned storms become rampant across the world and unrest happens

I have a priest lvl 3 who has nothing(nature, earth, death etc.) But still can cast combat spells. Where are these coming from?

Priests get spells such as blessing, banishment, smite etc. which are based on their level. This school of spells is called "Divine Magic" I believe. This school of spells doesn't require any research, they can simply be used if the priest has a high enough level, in your case lvl 3 which allows the casting of quite a few spells at that level. If your priest was able to cast other types of magic spells then perhaps they had gems that they could use to level a magic path, though I don't think thats doable if they don't already have a level in something (like death, nature etc.).

@@82HeelWhen you are making a god, press F5 to open magic schools and select Divine to see all the holy spells. Also, you get different version of Smite based on your highest magic path. Some are really good (Astral, Blood) while others are bad (Water, Earth)

There's no convenient way to look those up since they aren't under any school and require no research. The easiest way I find them is to go to a unit with priest levels in the battle command screen, select cast specific spell and scroll all the way down to the end of the spell list. You can see all the divine spells available, even ones of higher levels (4 and 5) you won't normally be able to cast. Also as a side note, there are special divine spells of an elemental flavor which become available if your pretender has high magic paths but only the highest applies. The pretender creation screen tells you which ones right under the magic paths.

@@jeremiemethot5171 There is no key like that to the left or right of my right shift. I only have negative, comma sign and dot to the left, then to the right I have up arrow.

Sir, thank you for the effort but I am finding your tutorials confusing. Your videos appear unprepared and just made without any real preparation. You often digress into details, straying from the subject and not completing your original thought. Have you ever considered outlining what you want to cover in a video and partially scripting them? I believe that you will find that your video length will decrease, the amount of information you impart will increase and the videos will become more viewer friendly. Please consider this as these videos are being used by the developer to promote their product, a more organized approach would better serve them and your viewers in my opinion.

Agreed, finding a way to optimize the delivery of information would go a long way. Sitting here for 30m to 1hr to glean stuff from just one aspect of the game is big investment and I find myself asking what the point is in some of these tutorials where it gets dialog heavy.
