Bobby Rose & Lou Richards are probably the people who, more than any others, represented the Magpie Spirit. Rose was the dignity, grace, and determination we strive for, and Louis was the Larrikin lad who could make us smile in the worst of times. Floreat Pica. Go Pies.

I love Lou’s gloating, it’s awesome. I used to follow Essendon closely, but as a dispassionate observer who is “over” the modern business-game I love hearing the gloating. :-)

This proud club deserved alot more success than it got

The New Magpies was a dark time for the club but we did have some premiership players come out of it. Players like Gary Shaw, mike Richardson etc just there for the money.
