Best news I have received today! What a great work. I’m starting a charity in honour on my mums name who is dying of cancer. I’m dedicating my life to help all the refugees in the world. My mum built clean water wells in different parts of the world, now we are building schools and hospitals too soon one day. God help us all. Amen.

I love and appreciate the work he is doing! Like, seriously. We really need more people like him in the world. But the only thing that bugged me a bit is that he really made my country sound like the dirtiest place known to man, like damn! don't do my country like that lmao. Liberia is a very, very beautiful place! (but I of course admit there are areas that truly need help). love him!
@Cryogenius333

I think that's sort of the point though. Almost every place we live has beauty...but there is an underside to every pretty thing, that often isn't as beautiful...and unless you live in or near that side of life, you most likely never see it or pay it any mind. And its because you don't see it or pay it any mind that it continues to fester and exist like this. Sometimes you have to acknowledge and call out the ugly. Because its there. That's why we call it raising awareness. Hes from New York. New York city is a "beautiful" city. Its the city that never sleeps. If it can be found, it can be found in NYC. Undoubtebly one of the most famous cities on the planet, with its gleaming skyscrapers and rich history. But how many homeless do you think live there? What kind of squalor do they live in, clustering together in subway tunnels and bus stops, in alleyways? And the crime? Drugs? Prostitution? Young girls AND boys getting kidnapped and shipped in to cities like New York to serve as prostitutes and slaves? It really has it all. And every place in the world has things like that. So don't think of it as "Doing you dirty" X) Just keep an open heart and and open mind, be aware, RAISE awareness, and love unconditionally. Together we can change it, one day.

So inspiring to us Christians who at an early age, our lives were flipped upside down and we were presented with an opportunity to chase after substitute loves (Drugs, Alcohol, Sex out of marriage, power over others power, status, etc) . It's beautiful how God chases us and has a plan for us to swoop us back up into his purpose and presence. God uses our hardships for the purpose of reaching out to receive love, understanding love and then demonstrating love. We maybe the only people through whom others will receive God's love, so ask God's spirit to give us the words and then speak.....speak to your waitress...speak to the person in line in front of you , speak to all of God's creation and pray in the spirit always. You served God and your mother well, he gave you the strength as you exercised your spiritual muscles as a servant leader which granted permission to your inner self to demonstrate it to others very much so like Jesus who served his mother and family as the man of the house from 12 to 30 yrs of age. I don't see anything more powerful than that.

Please try to imagine that Scott did this on his own in a world where people still believe in fairytales that were told in the Middle Ages. I believed in God for 50 years. Until I woke up. I saw a tv show called the ‘end of polygamy ‘ and I finally realized that I had been part of a universal cult called religion. It’s been quite a re-education now that I see the world so differently. I couldn’t believe how many people still believe in stories that make no scientific sense. I looked for others who could help me to understand why religion is so ingrained in all of us. So I read a book called ‘The End of Faith’ by Sam Harris. I don’t know you and you’re the first person I’ve told about this. Will you please think about it?

Do they know that they at least have to cook the water before drinking it? This is so bizarre. They're using jerry cans, something which exists as a result of the internal combustion engine, yet they are not using fire for this basic purpose?

It's sad but true that it's so difficult (if not impossible) to boil all water before you use it (when it's hot and you are thirsty). These people are not educated to all the invisible water borne illnesses/diseases that can be contracted from water.

2:26-3:02 "For almost ten years after that, I smoked two packs of cigarettes a day and was out drunk almost every night. I was into strip clubs, gambling, and just about every drug except heroin . . . there was a long decline in happiness . . . I remember just feeling so unhealthy about it all". I know this isn't the point of the video-- the water charity is-- but I felt like I had to say this. The reason there's stigma with a lot of these and the reason he started feeling "so unhealthy about it all" was because of a lack of moderation. Smoke two packs of cigs a day? Yes, people including yourself might start to feel concerned despite cigarettes having less stigma now compares to e-cigarettes. Drinking every night doesn't sound like a glass of wine a day it definitely sounds like heavy drinking. And considering this is the US and not Portugal or France it most definitely implies heavy drinking and maybe alcoholism. I've never had an alcoholic drink in my life but I can say that not everyone who drinks some wine or a beer is a heavy drinker. They don't have to be, it's just that the US has problems with moderation and thus more stigma concerning the issue. Gambling can take a toll on your finances if you overdo it. I get that this is his story, so that quote is specific to him, not the whole world but I don't like this constant portrayal of using extremes to decide if something is morally wrong. I didn't like the implication.
