I had always invisioned the Stanley Parable in an alternate universe being an [adult swim] show about Stanley and his mysterious Narrator friend getting into all sorts of whacky metaphysical situations, a bit like a mix of Rick and Morty and The Office but with a better budget.

honestly, the stanley parable could translate to an episodic series pretty damn well. where you have shows like spongebob or phineas and ferb that start the same, end the same, and can be watched in any order, versus shows with a longer-burning narrative, the stanley parable could strike a nice middle ground as a story that always starts the same per episode but diverges into its own story more as time goes on, always ending in a different way. meanwhile an overarching meta-narrative could be happening behind the scenes, shown in short clips or little remarks by the narrator that suggest that maybe he's seen you do all of this more times than he lets on

In ultra deluxe there is a series of endings that are overarching. (New content, sp2, collectible, memory, the bucket, that ending that unlocks all the 'sequels', sp8)

@@anemiropenguin2241 The Narrator blows Stanley up in one ending, in another he perishes from insanity, or perhaps lack of bucket, in one he commits repetitive staircase jump, plus there are drug and hooker references. 😋 Not the worst things for a kid's show - looking at you Adventure Time - but might be frowned upon by parents. 🤭

Leaping from the platform to plunge to your death is probably the most control the main character can have of their own story of they had a say in the matter, and I think that's the lind of tone that sets The Stanly Parable apart from other story driven games
