It is amazing that in the same family, all the 3 children are not only Ph.D holders but also Gold medalists under different fields. They are the children of the well known wildlife conservationist belonging to the Assam cadre of Indian Forest Service (I.F.S) Shri. Hemen Chandra Changkakati and Smti. Neelima Changkakati who was a home maker but a very strong lady.
Throughout their journey of life each of the 3 siblings spoke of their parents and their influential role in their lives. Shri. Hemen Changkakati son of Dr. Debendra Chandra Changkakati stood first amongst all selected candidates for the onward journey to study at the Imperial Institution- Indian Forest School at Dehradun way back in 1955 joining in 1958 in the Assam cadre. He retired as the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, and Chief Wildlife Warden Govt. Of Assam. Smti. Neelima Changkakati , the eldest daughter of the #assam #author #beauty famous anaesthetist of Dibrugarh Dr. Suren Sarma did her college life in Manohari Devi Kanoi College, Dibrugarh. The parents of these three children had a great influence in shaping the career of their children which is evident from their views in this interview. We hope they set a very good example to the future generations of not only Assam but also outside our state.
We tried to bring out the values they carried yet never ever tried to get exposure . They are totally focused in their respective works and have given much to the society.
