Bombardier, one of the largest multinational companies in the aerospace industry and it has been around for such a long time. While the enterprise is now renowned for developing and producing a wide variety of cars, including trains and aircraft, the company focused initially exclusively on snow vehicles. Bombardier had designed such vehicles already since the mid 1930s, so when he founded his company he had a lot of experience in this area.
This is the story of Joseph-Armand Bombardier, one of history's greatest inventors and industrialists. By the time he was in his early teens, he had already produced various mechanical toys, such as boats, tractors, and trains, attesting that young Joseph was a natural-born inventor and was destined for greatness.
As he grew up, he tackled more complex machines and even took it upon himself to build a steam engine out of parts from an old sewing/ machine. But that's not all, and he was always taking apart his father's car motor and putting it back together again to learn as much as he could about the machine.
Since the company’s inception in 1936, Bombardier has made 16 billion a year and has over 60000 employees as of 2020. They have gone on to produce business Aeroplanes, military and commercial jets. Over the years, the company has also expanded into the rail and public transit business.
