Heater vent tip, put a dryer sheet in each one. It helps trap the dust and crumbs that sneak in AND it helps the the trailer smell fresh and clean. We do it with our camping trailer and switch them out every so often.

So much work redoing a trailer. My sister and her husband redid a 5th wheel. The also ended up removing all flooring and trims. Put in a vinyl wood flooring and it was so nice. You and Donnie are such go getters!

We don't live in our 5th wheel but we pulled out the couch and the double recliner and put in 3 separate recliners so much better for comfort and space good luck on your new adventures

You always did amazing on the farm house. :) Just a heads up on the cat pee.. if Jasper smells it he could start “marking his territory “ and unfortunately it gets everywhere. Sadly, speaking from experience. Tearing out the carpet may not be enough. I know you all will have it looking like brand new with all your personal touches. We were gonna get a small camper and move it to our property until we get our house built, but we decided against it. One reason is hubby didn’t like the small space. The other was we were gonna spend $10k for the camper since we have never owned one, but I wanted to just stay in our rental a bit longer and use that $ towards building the house. It’s great y’all can do this and it looks like you will enjoy it, too!

Wow! You’ve got your work cut out for you but I’m sure it will turn out beautiful! I can relate to cleaning out after cats! We bought an investment house once that was disgusting! The carpet was crunchy from cat poo and pee! We had to replace subfloor about 2 feet away from walls due to cat pee! Ugh! But we did it!

I'm sorry that Papa Don's cats were so rude 😭 definitely the right choice to rip out the carpet. We had a cat pee on the carpet in the house about 30 years ago now, and the smell would still pop up on really humid days 20 years after the fact and it was cleaned a billion times and not even left to dry. The cat has just been fixed and she had an accident. As expensive as flooring is now back then an entire room of new carpet would've been in the thousands and just wasn't in the budget. With your traveling the last thing yall need is that smell everytime it rains or you're in a really hot area! It def sucks that you guys invested so much into the cougar and in less than 4 years have to redo so much but I absolutely love that you guys helped Papa Don have a nicer place and now even more suitable for him with the toy hauler. I know so many ppl who would be like "no we aren't helping you because you caused damage previously" and I just love that y'all are doing your best to still care for Papa Don even though it will likely cost y'all later. Family and love is stronger than any amount of money 💞 Also, cats can be jerks! I hope the toy hauler being clean when you dropped it off will help Papa Don with she quality etc, at least for awhile! ((Hugs))

Absolutely love your videos! Anything that has cat urine on it you will never get the odour out. You are the best to power through. I would have dumped the trailer.

How does Jasper do with traveling? My cats hate going in the car. When we moved from Nebraska to Florida last year, it was such a pain. One of them cried for hours 😑

When we bought our house it was empty for a year before they put it for sale. They had carpet in the living room and it was covered in cat urine! We were getting rid of all of it but even the rooms with wood, the cat urine was all underneath! So gross! We have a cat, and I’m so thankful our cat uses only a litter box! I can imagine the smell! I can’t wait to see how this turns out!

Wow..what a big 1st day, you two got alot down. You both are handling it all so good. No can't live in cat pee that is a nasty smell. If you are takibg your cat you don't want him to mark his spot and thats what they do if they smell other cats. I think I'd just go ahead and remove the back as well. Start fresh!! What happened to the small Trailer you used for camping trips? The vintage one? It was so cute

Scrub everything with any Odoban. 1 gallon is like $10 and makes like 20+ gallons of cleaner. We use it on everything. We have 3 cats, 1 dog, 1 hamster, & 2 kids. Our house never smells. I put 8 oz in with every gallon of water when I carpet clean. No pet smells! I prefer Fresh Linen but we buy all the scents. Doesn't mask scents either! They go away. If there's still a smell reapply, and always use cool water, not warm or hot.

Sometimes you have to replace the pad under the carpet also😅 I use to be a property manager & with cat urine rarely replacing just the carpet isn’t enough 😅 the smells would still come thru new carpet 😢
