more than three decades down the line, the multi billion Naira project despite its huge potential to address empowerment gap and turn around the nation’s economy is yet to be actualised.

The Ajeokuta steel plant by its looks is a junk and should be scraped .Nigeria economic planning is based on 1940 model. You cannot take 60 years to build steel mills that other build in 2 years all your machines will be old and out of date time is very important. The sole administrator looks so lazy and dull that by itself tells a volume .

Nigerias white elephant project.Ajeokuta will still depend on oil because it will not be profitable. It is too old the equipments are not the latest idea in steel making and there fore the salaries of workers will still come from oil

Nigerian need the steel plant to start operation, Nigeria development depends on the steel sector,if it start working it capable to rebuild itself,Nigeria will technologically advanced to meet her steel need,and self confidence in local content act,it can create millions of job to Nigerians.

suberu onimisi nusa plant stay for decades like you said I know that 1980 Mercedes you keep changing the engine and gear box which is not 1980. You need highly automated steel mill to be competitive otherwise it is that African tradition of inefficiency

suberu onimisi nusa Steel plant that is decade old is only seen in third world countries OK. other countries with efficient economy constantly improve and input new machines
