@MrGarymuldoon

Not even close. Sammy did that though with testimony on 36 different members, bosses and associates leading to countless more indictments and interpretation of every word in not just John but others tapes as well as opened up the entire inner workings of the mob, how they infiltrated every union and racket in families across the country. Gotti definitely handed himself though in those tapes. Every single boss was caught on tapes though along with many higher ups, hence the commission case before him. The reason being was rats/informants like Sammy made deals with the government in exchange for lighter sentences and told the federal government where high level conversations were held and where to place wiretaps.

There is no boss of ALL bosses. The title "capo" comes from "Il capo de tutti capi", meaning "boss of all bosses", but that means only the boss of all the capos of ONE family, which he was. Also, "some" were not trying to kill: one, only the Chin, and he (Chin) was not wrong, but Gotti was def not the low man on the totem pole. Nobody liked Castellano and Gotti's only sin was rubbing his victories in the Feds face, but overall, it was the media who convicted him,..with all that "teflon don" BS.

This is an interesting video. Sammy's narrative now is that Gotti wanted him to take the blame but I don't buy that. One thing that seems true is that he wanted to whack John and all that after hearing the tapes. I think Sammy blames John for the tapes and getting him in trouble and that's the real reason he flipped. He was pissed he was going to spend the rest of his life in prison over Johns mouth and not because he wanted him to take the fall. Gotti was going to be found guilty with or without Sammy. The Feds gave him a great deal because he could take down a lot of guys.

@@justinlecroy3579 you’re oddly obsessed with defending Gotti and need to bad mouth Sammy to prove your point. What’s Sammy got to do with Gotti running his mouth and getting caught on tapes? What’s Sammy got to do with Gotti being paraded in and out of court flaunting for the media? What’s Sammy got to do with Gotti cheating on his wife and putting his family on welfare? What’s Sammy got to do with John Junior becoming underboss? What’s Sammy got to do with Gotti’s crew littering the streets with drugs? What’s Sammy got to do with Gotti inviting members and associates to prance around Mulberry street for the entire world to see? Gotti and Ruggerio are the ones that called on Sammy for help. You’re forgetting that Gotti was caught by the Feds not because of Sammy but because of his mouth. What’s Sammy got to do with Gotti breaking the code and talking about hits and LCN dealings? It is what it is. Sammy saved himself and I don’t blame him. Nobody ever heard of Sammy before he started hanging around Gotti and his pack of losers. Gotti wasn’t ever getting out no matter what and if you think for a second he had a chance to flip you’re delusional. Sammy is just one of hundreds of mobsters that flipped and chose freedom over prison. Seems like a no brainer to me🤷🏻. Sammy's ego couldn't handle the fact that he was about to do life because of John's mouth. It wasn't like Sammy played the game and got caught by making his own mistakes and frankly, he was sick of John being insufferable inside jail for those 11 months, and he didn't want to spend the rest of his life in a cell. It had nothing to do with being the fall guy, which was ridiculous, because there was no way John was somehow going to walk free from that case when he's on tape openly admitting to murders, racketeering, you name it. Claiming it was all an out of control Sammy's fault was never going to magically exonerate John so he can waltz out and continue running the family. I'm not saying I don't understand Sammy's motivation to side with the government and save his own ass but it's disingenuous of him to claim it was about anything other than avoiding having to do life because of John babbling and badmouthing him on those tapes.

That's True but Sammy never wants to admit that's the real reason he flipped, even FBI has stated other Capo's who arrested they were saying they wouldn't B in this mess if it wasn't for John's big mouth, and summoning the to the reveniteclub knowing the FBI is wacthing
@collinjamesguitar

Exactly. It had nothing to do with John’s “betrayal” of him. He didn’t want to do life. Who would? Most people don’t have the conviction that John had of his beliefs. Right or wrong, the dude was as devout as a Jesuit Priest to LCN. Most people don’t have that and that’s okay. RICO showed that. Once they started throwing around 25 to life in every case, it totally changed everything. I certainly don’t think most of us could have done that.

Gravano also bullshit their admirers by saying that he and Gotti killed Castilleno because he is not a gangster. Gravano and Gotti was about to get whacked because they broke the Paul rules of dealing with drugs. They betrayed their boss to save their own skins, not about their family. Gotti’s crew sold drugs and Gotti accepted drug money as did his son and brothers. The wire tap recordings that the Feds had on Gotti brought down the entire Gambino family as well as many others from other families. Gotti was the ultimate betrayer and a two face as he broke LCN rules when talking subversively about the Bosses and his own crew members. He also broke LCN rules when talking openly about hits and dealings and allowed members of his family to deal drugs. Sammy wasn’t involved with any drug dealings or incriminating recordings. Gotti gave the Feds all the info they needed. It’s all on tape from Gotti breaking LCN rules and openly talking about hits and LCN dealings. John The Ultimate Betrayer Gotti. He put himself and many others in prison with his big mouth. Killed DB because his feelings got hurt🤣 He didn’t stay true when he plotted to kill the boss. He didn’t stay true when he talked behind the bosses back. He didn’t stay true when he bad mouthed his underboss to members of his crew. He didn’t stay true when he openly talked about hits and LCN dealings. He didn’t stay true when he allowed his crew to deal drugs. He didn’t stay true when he openly gathered crew members on Mulberry Street knowing he was being recoded. 🤯EMOTIONAL DAMAGE🤯

Even in his death bed Carlo was smart. He chose Paul to continue his Legacy. I believe that if Paul wouldve lived, he would’ve gone to prison and run the family from there. John and the gottis wouldve been whacked. Sammy wouldve talked his way out of getting killed and Paul would have made him the boss. Decicco wouldve been alive and under sammy

🤣 Gotti let most of his crew litter the streets with drugs. Sammy didn’t do that🤷🏻 I love how Sammy stood up to the bully (Gotti). Gotti was so used to people folding, being intimidated, killed off or being paid off his whole life and there he is with a dumbfounded look on his face being brought down by Sammy. Thank you Sammy for putting that crew of morons behind bars. Blabbing 24/7 about hits and LCN dealings. Showing off for all to see. Walking up and down Mulberry street forgetting he’s supposed to keep his dealings private. In and out of court for his mouth and other idiotic crimes. Neil Delacroce was a weak ass boss and failed big time. He should’ve killed Gotti and Ruggerio for bad mouthing the boss, dealing drugs and running around acting like a total schmuck. Never heard a word of Sammy until he got linked to the King of Blabber Mouths Gotti and you expect Sammy to take the fall for that idiot🤣

Gotti was a total user. He got his button early on then quickly shied away from doing hits. He refused several hits but was allowed to because he filled Neil and Paul’s pockets with drug money. He used Ruggerio for the drug connection and used associates to distribute the drugs into the neighborhood streets. He used Sammy to get him out of jail several times and to do the hits that he was incapable of performing. Gotti would not of been the boss if it were not for Sammy setting up the hit on Paul as it was known that Gotti was afraid of doing jail time and used others to perform the operations for him. Gotti stopped doing hits as he had others do that for him, had others deal drugs for him and had others bribe jurors for him. It’s why he desperately wanted to be the boss like Castelano and not lift a finger but rake in all the money. He simply was a selfish user that got rackets and a no show job handed to him early on when he had some balls to go with his half a brain.
