As a Turkish person , I am really don't know why Nusret doing that. That's too expensive. But I have advice for you all. If you want to eat baklava. Just come to Turkey and see the results. They will be cheap and fresh. Like you can get at least 3 kg baklava for $60.

No, so why is it acceptable and people are happy to be charged a premium here? Nusret Gökçe (or Salt Bae) has wonderfully smooth arms though, so that's a plus.

As a chef who worked at delmonicos steak house in NYC a landmark as the first restaurant creator of the baked Alaska and hollandaise sauce which is one of 5 mother sauces it wad an honor to work there from its history from having every president since Lincoln ate at sitting 600 people and I worked the line and I wad at the fish station and it's right next to the steak so I got to see and learned to cook there steak incase too many orders came in wall steel lunch hour was the hardest from 12pm to 3 in those hours over 700 tickets would come in and it was very overwhelming learned alot of management and there steak is better then anyone eles the aging was key the steak fridge had 4 locks and the Door always must be closed if u leave it open for more then like min it could ruin basically over 100k worth of steak and the seasoning prossses is simple that makes a steak not to overseas like Bobby flay wich was way to much flavor just salt pepper and when it's cooked a splash of garlic oil and butter the taste was amazing but salt Bae not gunna lie its way over price for something you can make at your BBQ and that gold isn't expensive the leaves its like 8 bucks at retail so ur paying all that for like 50 buck dish trust me that's a big scam that people fall for we didn't do that but other restaurant do and it taste like nothing your paying for the flex that's it just got to your butcher pick a steak with a high white line count the more white lines the more tender BBQ it over wood chips or coal you preference and salt pepper and garlic oil and make your own butter by taking soft butter and chop chives tyme and parsley salt n pepper roll it up in parchment into a log and top your steak with that and if you want a good sauce deglaze your pan with red wind a little tomatoe paste and chopped scollets and let it reduce s n p to pref and done if it's age ONLY salt n pepper so you can taste the aging but yeah that gold shit like. 5 10 bucks and they will add a few hundred just to have a tasteless leave and if you touch it it gets all in your gloves lol this. Guy is a jerk off in the culinary world no one respects him over charge for a small ass plate

He's the meat guy, so he's probably weighing his personal enjoyment of the steak much more heavily than everything else which leads to this (in my opinion) unreasonably high review. I think his system of scoring is stupid, but he has no reason to shill for a restaurant that is widely ridiculed and known for being overpriced when he is already successful and wealthy by himself.
