The jam that was to become Daybreak, in an instrumental demo from the Second Coming Rehearsals. Drums and bass are more prominent than in the definitive mix. Superb.

Lush, im a massive fan of funk music, and james brown in particular, his period from 67-72 was "heavy funk" as some call it, this sounds like something from one of his shows, just without a brass section. I would love to hear this live with some horns over the top, this is quality quality music.

I've only just realised JB Groove refers to James Brown Groove on 'What about the Funky'. So it wasn't all about the Led Zep!

be great to hear a remastered version of Second Coming with less guitar and more groove, right? I'm not having a go at Squire cos I love his Zeppelin type stuff on this album. But this sounds ten times better than the album version.

@spaced377 Mate, I was in Hyde Park for Blur and it was fucking glorious! John hasn't done cocaine in years! He's a father of six (new baby coming this month!) They are all unbelievably talented people! It's going to be fantastic! All I can say to the sceptics is: stay at home with your records and leave more tickets for us! :D

There was coke and John himself said so. He never denied it. But he also said that things have been exaggerated and there was nothing anywhere near the excess that has been described. He made a mistake 18 years ago. Will he ever be allowed to forget it?
@lucassurjus8015 жыл бұрын
hmm yeah, IB said all went to hell when he woke up one day at JS was snorting coke at 10 am so he could come up with a new riff. Indeed sonds exaggerated, but who knows??

Ian Brown was the weak out the lot. Mix them all together and it came out genius. Amazing rhythm section - then add Squire. Just sublime.
