AJ Carol & Ezekiel's relationship and marriage wasn't trash, it was beautiful and she felt safe around him, even growing her hair back - remember Henry telling Daryl the story how Ed her first husband use to grab her by the hair so she cut if off so he couldn't do that anymore and Ezekiel loved that woman, practically worshipped the ground she walked on. What you fail to understand is if there were marital problems before a child's death, a situation like this can exacerbate that strain, making it even worse to work through. However, they weren't having marital problems, but grieving couples may also grieve differently and start to place the blame and guilt on their spouse, and may start to feel anger and resentment, as well as feeling depressed and alone, they may also start experiencing symptoms of depression, poorer well being, health problems etc etc. As you guys know, poor Carol has lost a lot of kids, firstly Sophia, then Lizzie & Mika, then "cookie boy" (from Alexandria) started to get attached to her and now her Henry. Data shows that about 16-20% of marriages end in divorce after the death of a child so its a thing, it happens. Think about children that have been murdered here in the UK and look at the parents later on, the majority of those marriages/couples have split up and ended in divorce so you have to try and sympathise and have a better understanding than that. Well done our clever Eugene knew what it was straight away when that chimney was going to blow saving lives again. It was good to see Negan save Judith, but he would, they have a special little bond, but I remember when I first watched this way back when and was not impressed that none of those people left that rope to run after her, but they weren't our main characters who would most definitely have ALL run after her, there's no way they would leave Rick & Michonne's child out there alone. As for Carol, she's always watching and it was good she was watching Lydia, but we see here, she clearly doesn't hate her.

The scene where Ezekiel puts his hand on Tara’s name on the charter is so small but sad I loved the atmosphere of this episode I love the scene when Michonne and the group arrive back at Alexandria before the snowball fight Seeing the Alexandria sign being swiped the small Skeleton crew of characters arriving back home after such a loss on the pikes and in the snow Seeing the small disheartening group It just made me think of all the characters we once had who have fought to get them to where they are now Rick Carl Andrea Hershel Beth Lori Sasha Shane Glenn Abraham everyone who played their part.

Fun Fact: The snowball fight scene was improvised by Norman Reedus it was unscripted which I really love because It just shows the freedom that Angela Kang is giving to her actors The show needed to breathe after all that Negan fiasco from Seasons 7/8 and Angela Kang was the right showrunner for the job because she seems to be very collaborative and allows more organic scenes.

Carol now sees Lydia in a way she understands Lydia is a child of abuse.

Just to clarify Michonne wasn’t with Negan and them she was with the Kingdom group coming to Hilltop Negan and Judith Gabriel Rosita And Siddiq’s group was inside the walls of Alexandria trying to move to another house.

Just in case if you guys were wondering about the timeline of the show overall I’ve been working on it for a long time with the help of a website I’ll simplify the best I can because the list I have is the exact date for each episode Season 1: October 2010 Season 2: October 2010 Season 3: June 2011 Season 4-8 happens from December 2011 - April 2012 and the parts of Season 9 before Rick’s disappearance is late 2013 This episode takes place in March 2020 and as of 10x16 they’re in August 2020 weather and Carl’s age are very inconsistent but that is the Timeline.

Aj, you really don’t understand relationships. Hopefully, as you continue to live longer and get older, you will be able to understand more that goes into them and how these things can happen very similar to Carol and Ezekiel.

Im finally caught up with you guys! A few thoughts: -Carol and Ezekiels relationship was not fake, Parents who lose a child typically do split up. It is just too painful, a constant reminder of what they lost. -Agree 100% wiith AJ about the earlier seasons being the best, but S9 was a definite improvement over 7 & 8. - You mention shows that rely on shock value being like empty calories, it is an interesting point. It all depends how they get there. With the Red Wedding and the Pike scene in TWD it is the result of what came before it; characters decisions and consequences that arise from them....both things happened organically as a natural progression. That is good storytelling. Shock purely for the sake of shock is not. One common problem in both TWD and GOT is the later seasons started relying on spectacle over story...and both shows suffered as a result.

Season 9 being in your top 3 is insane …. You got to re think and re watch that

God forbid but if that happened to me I'd never for the person if she leaves because of that - decides to leave when we are at our most depressed state, which only adds to the already depressed state.
