An art history deep dive on "The Scream" (Skrik) by Edvard Munch currently at the National Gallery and Munch Museum, Oslo, Norway.
Widely regarded as one of the world’s most famous and recognizable paintings, The Scream by Edvard Munch, or more accurately named “The Scream in Nature” is one man’s experience of a walk in Oslo. "The Scream" represents a key work for the Symbolist and the Expressionist movement of the early twentieth century, due to Munch's depiction of subjective vision.
