Chris, I appreciate you asking questions and making observations that open up information about awkward things like Zach's drooling. Maybe I would be the only one feeling awkward - but you talk about it as if it is the same as any other thing you are talking about. It helps normalize this and remove fears. I really appreciate that. You are very helpful in bridging the gap between special people and those who aren't as familiar with special people. Ryan and Zach are delightful. 😁 And what wonderful parents!! 🤩

These two are like my two sons who have Duplication 15q syndrome. Their abilities and their weaknesses are totally different. My oldest has PDD-NOS and severe learning issues with lower IQ. My youngest has typical moderate Autism with speech, mild cerebral palsy, microcephaly but high IQ. Both had seizures when they were young but grew out of them around 15 and 16. The oldest had 100s of absent seizures a day and the youngest had petite mal ,absent and contact seizures. The youngest graduated with a normal high school diploma on time and went on to obtain 3 certifications in IT. The oldest received an alternate diploma and has been working at McDonalds for years and became a shift manager. The main difference was that the youngest was seriously I’ll his first four years of life and wasn’t expected to live past the age of five. But all is good now.

Thank you for being so kind with these two beautiful boys I remember when I was in school there was a girl who would drool the same and she was talking to me and one time and drool got on my hand and everyone looked at me like why wasn't I wiping it away real fast but to me it didn't bother me because I know that she can't control it and it really appalled me that other people were being so rude to her just with their eyes they didn't have to say a word so thank you so much for asking him questions teaching him what tripod is and his parents are raising too awesome young men thank you for the content.

I pray blessings over your family! Thanks for being so kind Chris and bringing awareness to all the different kinds of disabilities!

Ngl, it wasn’t long before I adored both of these lil’ dudes. Being raised in a loving home by 2 pretty darn incredible parents made my heart glow. So many of the individual stories SBSK has shared have affected me over the years, but Zack & Ryan are definitely up there in my favourites. The joy and honesty they exude is beyond precious, you can tell that they light up everyone around them. What a gift to be welcomed into their world for a short while to say hi. 🥰

Couldn't ryan communicate with a communication device using pictograms for example? Some people underestimate how well someone who is non-verbal can use one of those. Although I've heard they can be pricey.

Yeah. People confuse non-verbal with non-understanding a lot but a communication device is definitely worth a try.
