I had a brain aneurysm that ruptured while I was sleeping. The headache I experienced was my first ever headache. I was awake long enough to let someone know that something wasn't right. I was taken to the emergency room and that's when they found the rupture on my right frontal lobe. I was then rushed to Erlanger hospital in Chattanooga for surgery. I regained consciousness 9 weeks later and came to realize that I couldn't move my left side that's when I was told that I had a stroke a week after the rupture. That's been 6 years ago and now I am able to walk again and got involved with adaptive sports and can do some of the activities I use to do. There is life after a aneurysm and stroke.

I had a brain aneurysm when I was 11 years old. I was 3 weeks into my new school and was playing sports on the field. Suddenly I just felt like my skull was crushing into each other, sweating, feeling dizzy, very pale. I walked to class and a boy my age took me to the sick bay. My dad had come pick me up and mum knew something wasn't right so we drove to the hospital. The hospital find out I had a ruptured aneurysm and I had been born with it. During my aneurysm I had suffered a stroke and seizure on the left hand side of my body, so one half of my face is facing down. I'm now 17 and living an amazing life.

I am glad to hear you survived and recovered. My daughter 11 years old had ruptured aneurysm on March 23/2022. She had 4 surgeries and a lot of complications. Right is in rehabilitation.

As a long-term migraine sufferer, I’d been to the ER many times to get the vomiting and pain under control. So imagine my surprise when I had a ruptured aneurysm with no headache at all. I had had a bad cold and right before bed, I blew my nose and felt an electric shock hit the top of my head and travel down my spine. It took my breath away and I started to feel extremely hot. I didn’t know what had happened but I called 911 and got to the hospital right away. So if something doesn’t feel right , don’t try to diagnose yourself. Just to go the ER immediately. I would’ve died in my sleep.
