Hi Arinze, thank you for reaching out. There are different accommodations here in Bradford. I’m currently at a student accomodation, where I have my room, toilet and bathroom, but I share the kitchen with my flat mates. There is also the option of a shared house, the only issue I have with that, is everyone shares the toilet and bathroom. Which of these would you like to see, if both , kindly let me know. Thank you

Hello Jide, thank you for your message. There are study loans but they are only available to local students. There are also some scholarships available but they range from 2000-5000 pounds. There are organisations that sponsor, but I don’t currently know of any.

Hello Ifunanya, thanks for taking your time to ask these questions. I’m sorry for the late response, it’s really been hectic here. To answer your questions 1)Yes, there are African shops where you can find Nigerian ingredients and spices for your food, although I will advice you, to bring as much as you can because of the currency exchange. 2) As a lady come with everything you think you’ll need for your hair, come with your dryers , their sockets are like our in Nigeria. I didn’t know this, so I didn’t bring any extension or hair stuff. As much sanitary as you can. Although you will still buy these here at some point too 😃. 3) you are advised to work for 20 hours, the onus is on you if you work more than that. 4) Yes there are jobs, but the labour market is highly competitive, except for the blue collar ones.Which sometimes pays the bill, and can pay higher depending on the sector (healthcare) 5) I don’t know when your coming, whether September or January, if it is in September, please bring thick jackets 🧥. I know what I mean 😀, at-least like 3. 6) Bring needle and thread oo and buttons, me I needed them and still do 😀, because Obioma here na like say you Dey buy new cloth. 7) Please bring all your documents, passport, and everything you applied with. Hell Mfon, I’ve been living here for 6 months and I can say I haven’t had any security issue. I somewhat stay close to the city centre which I believe should be the most threatened if there wasn’t security. I agree that there might be pick pockets but I haven’t had any of such experiences. @@Gustinaaa1033 hello Mary , I’m not sure you have to pay 50% to get your CAS. When I applied I had to pay 2000 to get cas and 50% upon resumption. I also know a few people who didn’t pay the 50% until they got to the UK. Except they’ve changed the rules. Wishing you all the best with the process
