Very cool video. I'm also making a documentary of the same name about 2816 Empress. Announced it over a year ago, and it will take another year to do. Thank you for doing my favorite engine. I hope you can continue making great videos.

Great video! I just uploaded my own video yesterday from seeing the Empress #2816 yesterday during its stop at Saint Paul Union Depot in Minnesota She sure is a beautiful locomotive and it’s great to see her back on the high iron after 13 years!

The locomotive shown at 1:45 is a 3000 series, 4-4-4 Jubilee, not a 4-6-4 2800 series Hudson.

Sorry for the late response to this, but I did ultimately know that. However, it wasn't intended to show a Hudson from CP, more so as just background film while I talk about 2816's history. Thanks for pointing it out, though. I do appreciate it.

Very appropriate to call #2816 "The Empress of Canada" since Canadian Pacific Ships, sister company of CPR, named their ocean liners "Empress".

Also, when CP Airlines existed, it's radio callsign was "Empress"

Yes, my first trip to England in 1970 was on The Empress of Canada.
