I've always thought Chandler has always had a crush on Monica even if he didn't know/realise it himself!

It's funny cause Monica said, "She has two? I don't even have one!" and Chandler joked on having a child with her, and in season 10 she had two children with Chandler. Coincidence? I think not. :D

it's so adorable how all through the first seasons they always had these connections and chandler always asked what it would be like if they were dating and Monica laughed at him or whatever and then they ended up being adorable, cutest story line ever

I noticed there was something the moment Chandler propose they'd get married if neither of them are married by the time they reach 40. They also share secrets with each other that they don't share with even their respective best friends Joey and Rachel. Remember when they were stranded in the middle of nowhere going to a ski trip? Joey needed the under-wire from a bra to open the car door. Chandler suggested Phoebe and Rachel take out Monica's bra. There were many moments like that.

When I was watching the series the first time through I started shipping them early on and when the "You will always be the guy who peed on me" line came around I was crushed. Then they finally got together in London and I literally jumped up for joy. They are so perfect together!!!!

@codename617 Originally Monica was supposed to end up with Joey. I don't know when the writers abandoned the original ideal because already since the first season, Monica and Chandler had this connection and they continued to have a special bond throughout seasons 2 to 4 until the London episodes. On the other hand Monica and Joey have few moments of closeness. Maybe the original idea went down the drain early on.
