"Of course I survived."
What a brilliant character. He went from being a cool little villain to one of the best written characters in the franchise. Enjoy this massive little video, was very very fun to make. My goal with this was to show Maul's complete story from start to finish as well as to how his actions affected the grand Star Wats universe.A tribute to the forgotten Sith Lord, formally Darth, now just Maul.
I plan on working on similar videos of "The Story Of..." type for more Star Wars characters in the future, like Ahsoka and Kenobi.

This does not make their awe any less nor is it pitiable. Niagara Falls have been seen billions of times by billions of eyes over 10's of thousands of years and more. Would you mock a Girl Scout who gasps in amazement at having seen it's powerful majesty with her own eyes for the first time simply because you saw it two years prior on your own field trip? Art and beauty, no matter what form that takes, including audio, visual and/or tactile is there for all to witness it at their leisure as their time permits them. Rejoice in this truth and be thankful that they can enjoy something as you have. You will be a better person for it. That elder Kenobi Maul fight in the animated series, just pure gold. I was hoping for a Moses moment in the Kenobi series, where he went to the word between worlds for a while to gain experience and come out a much older man in relation to the regular world with ability to become a force ghost for the canon to make sense. But nope, Disney dropped the ball with that one too, almost as bad as Lucas dropped the ball with the Anakin prequel story. It took Favreau and Filoni with TCW for the Anakin prequel story to make sense.

@Kenechukwu Eze maul is usually blinded by his anger, that's why he usually loses against calm collected jedi, like ahsoka, or obiwan, and that's why he used a cheap move on quigon

Maul's story was an unexpected masterpiece. The Clone Wars series turned Maul from an intriguing side character with 2 lines into one of the greatest characters in the Star Wars universe.

It's crazy that some people don't like maul or put him on they're favorite Star Wars list of characters. Maul is such a amazing character, seeing him again in Solo was badass!! We need a Solo 2 or it can lead off into his own series like Ashoka & Kenobi, or do a movie but I feel like with the right director & writer's that a Maul series would be cool to see.

Maul is a fantastic character. His death in Rebels is so beautiful and poetic. Obi Wan giving him peace in death despite their history is heartwarming and sad. Twin Suns is a magnificent episode.

Yep. It was a terrible fate, but Maul understood that, in hindsight, it's allowed him to grow in power through the Dark Side. Not what he planned, by any means, but hey, he used the trauma gained from it to exact his path of destruction, and his revenge.

Maul may not have been the most powerful of Sidious's apprentices, but he was the smartest. He had the most willpower. The man survived alone for 12 years, his mind broken and his body even more so. But his spirit remained. Rage and spite kept Maul alive and even after he was revived, he continued to survive. He was smart enough to know he wasn't strong enough to take on Vader or Sidious. He was a Sith and angered easily, but he was no fool. He survived all this time simply because he knew how to pick his battles. Like Sidious, Maul mastered the art of rigging the game so he had the best odds of winning. And when he couldn't turn the odds, he didn't play.

To be fair, Vader's own willpower and strength to survive and see too it his goals were reached That said, Maul was undoubtedly a man with a purpose, nothing to hold him back like Vader had occasionally.

This was an Absolutely Amazing Masterpiece for Maul/The Darth Shadow. Maul was originally The Final Boss Antagonist for Star Wars The Phantom Menace Played By Peter Serafinowincz and Ray Park. It wasn’t until Dave Filoni The Creator of Star Wars The Clone Wars brought Maul back and Got Sam Witwer to Voice him that’s when Darth Maul Became one of The Best Characters and Villains in All of Star Wars. Maul is My Fourth Favorite Antagonist in Star Wars. I think we need to thank Sam Witwer for Making Maul from a One Dimensional Villain to one of The Most Tragic Villains in all of Star Wars. I’m also happy That Ray Park got to Play Maul in Solo: A Star Wars Story and in Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Season 7, Episode 10: The Phantom Apprentice. This was a Fantastic tribute it really captures Maul’s Character and his Story. Happy Star Wars Day and May The 4th Be With You Panos DKS.

Man Maul is so amazing, I totally understand why Palpatine had to intervene directly, Maul was quickly becoming One of the most powerful and influential player in the galaxy. And it was one side he did not have direct control over, I do not think Palpatine was lying at all when he Said ”you have become a rival”

Despite Maul having been a slave to the Dark Side since chidlhood, living off of fear, anger, and hatred, his ending was bittersweet. He understood Obi-Wan was also a victim in his own way, and Sidious had taken much from him just like he did with Maul, and he died with the knowledge and hope that someday, the Chosen One would avenge them all. Sure, still vengeance on his mind but, a different kind this time. A vengeance and hope for the people all across the Galaxy, that one say Darth Sidious would be handled by Fate, and they would all receive a sense of Justice, both living and dead, after Sidious' downfall. For a man so fixated on vengeance and hatred, he ultimately ended up dying in the arms of his old enemy with a sense of hope: *"Tell me... is he the Chosen One?"* *"... He is"* *"He.. will.. avenge us"*

Maul’s life was truly as tragic as Anakin. A weapon forged in anger and confusion. He was only what he was made to be. He found freedom and wanted his own. He never lied about anything he did or what would happen. Everyone was manipulated by The Emperor. I feel bad for him honestly.

I want to see what Maul was doing during the reign of the Empire, at the beginning and exactly during it (other than the rebels), I want to see exactly what he was doing at the time of Solo:A Star Wars Story. They should make some animations like the clone wars and the rebels abt the full life of Maul.
