Hi everyone ! This is a movie I made about Desmond Miles. I made the own edit this is why some scenes from the games were deleted. I didn't want a full movie of like 8 hours with all Desmond's cutscenes. I just wanted to make something short and complete :)
Don't forget to give me your opinion about this movie :). I suggest you to watch the end of the movie, I tried to make something really emotional.
NB: I was inspired by AC Initiates website, maybe you'll feel it. Many thanks to EscoBlades for his support :).

I miss him so much. At first he was lazy but in Revelations and AC 3 he was a great Assassin. He should have been made grandmaster of modern day assassins like Altair and Ezio.

Great video! I don't know why people hate Desmond so much. I'm new to the franchise and I honestly had no problem with him. Sure he wasn't that well-developed in the character/backstory department until Revelations and 3 but he had a cool personality from beginning to end. I really wish that they gave us a decision in AC3 because all that build up to the world ending wasn't worth anything if they let us choose. Now that I look back on this, I believe he made the right choice because he cared for the world and his family/friends that he just couldn't let them suffer and that took a lot of courage and guts! Because of what he did, this makes him a very likable character in my book. Well done Desmond, you will definitely be missed!

Without the connection between games that was provided by Desmond (alongside Lucy, Rebecca and Shaun), the modern-day storylines have felt ... lackluster. When you form such strong emotional connections with characters, it's hard to let them go but it's even harder to see them be replaced by new people that seem to be lacking ... something. Killing off Lucy AND Desmond may have been a slight misstep but if the AC games had stopped only after both of these deaths, it wouldn't have been a mistake at all. Because killing a beloved character isn't necessarily a bad thing. The real blunder is moving forward without them because frankly, it's going to inevitably feel like we've lost something and we aren't given the time to grieve before the characters that we bonded with are replaced by brand new alternatives who act like nothing happened. Those dead characters were subbed out and we were expected to connect with the new ones almost immediately. There's no closure for us as an audience and on a human level, that makes for an awkward experience.

UltimateSenshi Desmond Miles is in all of them. In one of the newer games (I think Black Flag) someone said that "Desmond Miles has generously lended his dna for us to do research." It is Desmonds memories, just your not living Desmonds life anymore.

So I was sitting on my sofa, playing Black Flag for the first time just now and I wondered; "What happened to Desmond Miles?" Haven't been a fan since Revelations and even that kept crashing on my PC way back when. Almost two hours later I'm just that much wiser as to what's been happening with our favorite (or least favorite) assassin. The editing was superb, definitely worth the watch to whoever reads this comment while they're 15 minutes into the video.

for me personally the games now just aren't interesting without the modern day battle and Desmond pushing the story forward. Going into the past to find lost artifacts and secrets to fight the Templars and save the world. It also doesn't help that the past assassins aren't as charismatic as Ezio.

@Rick O'Shay Then you are an idiot. It is just that Ubisoft stopped caring, so the question is why should we care about it too. And as it is a fundamental part of AC, it does not work for the franchise, which means that it has lost it's identity. Just take the novelizations of the Assassin's Creed games by Oliver Bowden for the first 4-5 games (AC3's Forshaked may or may not count). Without the connecting aspect of the Modern Day, they do not really make sense, they only read as in-universe journals of various people, like the "Secret Crusade" (La Crociata Segreta) as written by Niccolo Polo from the verbal memoirs of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, or like the Renaissance, Brotherhood and Revelation are supposed to be Ezio Auditore's Codex written at the end of his life, and Forshaken being Haytham Edward Kenway's personal journal with a conclusion included by his son. Which is great as supplementary material for the franchise, but on it's own it does not stand on it's legs. In said novels we never leard why Altair placed the Apple in Masyaf's Library, or Ezio hid the Apple under the Colosseum Vault, or what was the Grand Temple and the Amulet about, that Haytham was so obsessed to find. And while at least the stories of Altair and Ezio are somewhat entangled via the Memory Seals, Forshaken is completely unrelated to the past 4 books. The same thing is now what has happened with the games, due to the lack of connectivity via the Modern Day Plot.

I didnt understand what Juno was saying when she was telling the story of how they try to solve the problems in different ways cos of the soundeffects the game had. Anyone? Great video btw, many people disliked the desmond and all the stuff with it but I actually love all these conspiracies and desmond's story. Great job!

Afther all of that... What happen to Minerva and Jupiter, where are the Apples Of Eden, what is the actual backstory of Shaun and Rebecca, how is the world, the big temple down New York, JUNO...? There are so many questions... Ubisoft, please, fix this saga and explain everything.

Man I used to be so hyped while playing each game knowing I was earning my way through Desmond's journey, building the modern day master assassin, then dead, ubisoft makes you a game developer who is suppose to be 'you' ... now hipster girl party of 2 with the main girl having the addict itch for memory diving using tech that breaks ubisoft's in world logic around the animus.. *sigh*

I love how well done this is. Anyway you can remaster this? 1080p 60FPS on ultra settings? With footage from The Ezio Collection? A prologue of Clay and Lucy from ACR:LA could also be very interesting. Also include Clay's encounter from ACB. You know? Tie it all together. Make the perfect timeline in movie form.

TheDreamManifester The Ezio collection doesn't have graphical settings and doesn't output at 60fps, it's locked at 30. Not everyone can afford to get all games on a high end PC to run them at optimal performance, so don't tell people to do so.

Ezio went back to the villa to write 1419, 1420, and 1421 on the wall inside the hidden entrance. It's kind of the driving factor behind why Desmond and Co. go to the Colosseum...

i never fails to amaze me how we've learned so much about Vidic and the Templars yet we have little information stemming on his employers, people like Alan Rikkin and Leticia England other than the fact that they represent the inner sanctum of the Templar Order within Abstergo. I hope this time around Ubisoft will finally give us a chance to finally come face to face with Rikkin and the rest of the other Templars see what they are all about

I wouldn't call him a hero for enabling Juno to conquer the world. The way I see it is, it's better to let individuals choose to live and die naturally. Yes many people would have died because of a natural disaster, but they wouldn't be forced to become slaves or killed by Juno when she decides to become a dictator. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely and Juno now has absolute power like she wanted. He messed up.

Jonathan Bridges you're forgetting something : Desmond was very well aware that his decision could prove to be disastrous but he believed in the assassins and the people. He believed that they'll find a solution in the future to the Juno problem. By sacrificing his life, he saved the entire population. So yes he died a hero. He might have been a selfish jerk in his life before but ultimately he performed the most selfless act of all.

Juno seems to have enough power and the willingness to obliterate anyone who would oppose her. The Templars are eliminating the assassins to the point where there aren't many left. The people and the assassins are at a great disadvantage. Juno is the largest threat and she told him exactly what she was going to do with her power and he still gave her ultimate power. I still see it as a stupid move. It's better to die on your feet than live on your knees.

Sample 17 means that Desmond's mind is very likely going to wind up in the Animus. The drawback to this that Juno planned all along to use this as a means to re-enter the world. I suspect that when Abstergo scan Sample 17 in, Desmond's not the only consciousness that is going to be included..
