Synthetic nitrogen fertilizers such as urea help feed about half of the world’s population.
But making urea is a multi-step endeavor that consumes copious amounts of energy and emits large amounts of greenhouse gases.
A new one-step method promises to make urea production more sustainable and affordable
With advances in green electricity, we could power the hydrogen to ammonia process by sustainable energy like solar, hydro or wind.
Combined with carbon-obtaining technology like CCUS (Carbon capture, utilization and storage) or DAC(Direct Air Capture)
We could produce green urea with zero carbon emission in the whole life time
It is easy to built a urea plant
But is is quite challenging to supply a sustainable urea plant with high automation and low operating cost
We are reviewing whether our plant design is in the best interests of customers from dawn to dusk
And capable of providing capacity within 40,000~800,000 tons per year
With high applicability of industrial grade urea, increasing demand for urea in the automotive and agricultural industry
Green urea plant will spring up from all corners of the world like mushrooms after rain

Is Green urea plant of capacity 40000TPA would be cheaper compared to Urea produced through steam reforming.

Thank you for great video. I have a question regarding CO2 for feedstock during urea production. How is CO2 sourced to mix it with ammonia to produce urea? Is it captured during the process of manufacturing ammonia or is it captured from nearby industries that emits CO2 and transported to urea production facility? Thank you.

There are two sources of CO2, one is to use CCUS technology to capture in nearby industries that emit CO2 or directly obtain it from the air with DAC technology. Both Ways are environmental friendly.

If I were to install 100 MW elctrolyser for green urea production, what would be my total daily water consumption from production of green hydrogen to green urea production. Could you provide me the tentative daily urea production from 100 MW electrolyzer? Thank you.
