Allegiance is a state of mind, ever-changing through the flow of time. For many, this episode is the inflection point of their shifting allegiances.
I had originally planned to commission ATheatricalSongbird to reprise her role as Yunru, but that fell through for various reasons. So instead I asked my good friend Amy / amyyyy.sun to play the role. I think she did pretty good :p
For those unaware, Mental Omega is a free unofficial expansion pack for Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge, just recently reaching the 10th anniversary of its version 3.0 release.

The constant internal struggles and divides was exactly how Epsilon came to become so powerful, and ultimately victorious - Yuri had exploited this constant infighting to allow himself to grow unopposed. Only when the free world was united (no matter their allegiances and politics) would they have stood a chance against Yuri and his infernal legions.

Actually he forget one of thing critical need to explain before Act 2. During this time, one of Chinese agent find out about fake MIDAS report, which lead to another Epsilon Covert OP Taciturn mission to kill him before that information get back to Chinese.

Imagine if the whole series will be released and when it does, our mind will have the sensation to rewatch this whole series again and again due to it being PEAK story of a Science fiction of a RTS game. @@konradoziom2225Mind controlling only bits of parts of the top brass of any faction would either result in meager effect as the mind-controlled can only do so much while following the other leaders to not blow their cover, or short-lived power as the other leaders would quickly turn their gun and power onto them. The human ego however. Primal, natural, predictable, most likely what Yuri relies on to control, like how the Chinese power chooses to mull over the Russian rather than vanquishing Yuri.

and it makes sense (unlike Disney Star Wars) Here you had a group of people who rose to power through ambition, betrayal, and intrigue. They are opportunists at best and paranoid at worse. Success is not something to be rewarded, but instead a warning of an emerging threat to ones position, and every crisis is addressed as how one could extract the most benefit from it while deflecting any repercussions. These aren't great people that become stupid cowards just so that the main hero can show em up like a Mary Sue. These are people who's devoted their whole lives to feeding their ambitions being blind to critical details, and unable to see the big picture that doesn't have them in it.

Judging by the end of the vid, So this is where Yuri has officially has formed his army, the Epsilon Army. And now I get it of how the origins of Libra came to be, she was the psychic from that truck that Yunru was escorting before it got ambushed and Psi-Corps got their hands of it. And as for the rest, well now I know why Scorpion Cell had betrayed the Epsilon cause they treat them as tools not allies. So I'm guessing the next part of this lore is the Act 2 of MO, the Epsilon Era. Thing's are sure getting good! I can't wait for next time! ✨👍

Man, that whole underground facility rescue-turned-raid with Yunru is pictured so epicly that i imagined a whole FPS game. Imagine a first person view as one of the elite chinese squad equipped with Desolator radiation gun and advanced weaponry, fighting through the facility against Alien yet human forces, and even that brain tank vehicle, watching as bits of the squad gets mind controlled against you as you choose to either disarm the tank by gunning your fellow squadmate or making a mad dash under your own allied fire to destroy the tank, then the climax is you staring down hordes of Hulks while Yunru extracts info. Thanks Psyminnete for this great retelling of the game's lore and props the devs and writers for making such a gripping story.

it's really worth mentioning the easter egg in time capsule chapter, there Yunru need to face her hardest decision in an illusion, the two rails and the tomb yard, that's one of the most meaningful easter eggs in the campaign missions

But yeah I can see an Act 4 where the Fohen calculates how many time loops have been made which all failed to stop the activation of the Mental Omega Devices which could result in the next force sent back coming to confusing blows such as Last Bastion attacking the US forces or Hailhead attacking Scorpion Cell.

Imagine if the Allies kept Volkov and Chitzkoi and had backups of their Cyborg data in Archetype -Allies have Cyborgs, Terror Drones, Robot Tanks and Knightframes at the start of WW3 -Epsilon and Soviets take much more casualties. Scorpion Cell makes an alliance with the Allies instead

With every new entry in this series, I'm once again blown away by the quality and humor of the animations and interludes. Also, every time you mention the time gaps between missions/operations, I'm surprised. I didn't realize how much time lapses between the various missions, except that one Allied mission that explicitly states "Several weeks later".

The Korean situation does seem odd considering that Japan wasn't in the 2nd World War. Still I prefer the Pacific Front over the Empire of the Rising Sun. Also I may be a bit biased but MALVER is the best hero in Mental Omega.

Another beautiful rendition of all the events you have presented. Enjoying every moment of your videos,the on point sound mixing ,using the in game music based on the faction you are currently telling the story about, the addition of the in-game scripts and cutscenes to present the story's most important events from each mission,even using in game footage of your gameplay. The amount of effort you expended to use voices resembling the actual voice actors,perhaps through the use of AI? , and let's not forget the addition of custom art for additional context and adding more emotion to the story. Every time you upload a new video on the story I start watching the latest episode,only to then rewatch the whole series from the beginning just so I can feel the build up of the events each time.

1:09 so this mission that Psyminette is currently talking about also exists in Metal Omega 2.0. However upon destaplelising bott countries they actually start to team up and start sending all their units to kill your units, meaning you had to run play the mission in such a way so when factions turn hostile you can still escape alive.

Maybe I'm just misunderstanding the overall situation, but I thought that by the end of the 3rd Great War, the Scorpion Cell would have had a stranglehold over most of Africa. I was kinda expecting the African continent to look pretty... green, with the exception of the Confederation, Allied or Russian-held areas. Though speaking of Scorpion Cell, I've got a bit of an internal headcanon that one thing the Cell did was raid a Russian submarine base and steal their schematics so Rashidi could start working on Epsilon's Navy proper - because they can't keep relying on the Squids forever especially if they want to maintain dominance at sea. But, continuing that headcanon, the Cell's forces were discovered and had to hold out in a prolonged naval battle (which would primarily involve naval warfare, Zubr/Borillo-delivered landing parties, airdropped infantry battalions and Foxtrot airstrikes, later backed up by Kirovs) until Rashidi could send help, In the meantime, in addition to the Giant Squids to combat the enemy ships at sea, the Epsilon base had access to Tank Bunkers into which they could garrison Mantis and Gatling Tanks as well as Oxidizers. The Tank Bunker was the only tech defense available at the time, so the Cell had to make do with making as much use of it as they could. Later, the hastily-aseembled Piranha Minisubs from Rashidi would arrive and reinforce the massed Squids fighting the Soviet navy. With the Scorpion Cell being the main faction there, I can easily imagine the operation being named 'Operation: Sea Scorpion' Though I should stress the conflict described above is only my personal headcanon, and as such is not in the game. I still find it fun to think about though, given how Rashidi was responsible for much of the weapons development of Epsilon - I mean it'd sort of make sense that he'd take a similar path to building Epsilon's Navy as Yuri took when he brought the Stalin's Fist to the Cell for reverse-engineering.

In summary. The Soviet Union won the Third Great War but with tremendous cost. - The Russian and Latin relationship strengthened and got many things like Allied tech, control areas, forced labour from former Allied nation citizens and nearly global dominance. - But with the hostility between the Chinese. The Soviet navy which mostly sunk in the battle with the British never recovered and couldn't fight the Allied remnant's navy head-on. (Main Russian rebuilt their navy but it was impossible to invade London. The Chinese navy was still powerful but forced to fight against the Korean elite navy) The Allied nations lost the Third Great War and never recovered from all the damage. - The US military which was the strongest of the Allied nations was decimated and fractured to pieces. Many of the US's superior technologies were either lost forever or stolen by other factions. Many militants fought against the Soviet general for a chance to reclaim the USA from the Soviets. - EA has less concern because for the time being the Soviets lost too much and needed time to prepare for the next invasion with the British Isles is the best to protect themselves and Paradox Project in full-research. - PF...They nearly disbanded because their army became separate and served each faction's interests. **** On Yuri's side. - Yuri accelerated his plan and created his army. - SC secretly strengthened itself under the Russian nose which the Soviet to gain full-control of the Africa continent. SC needs time to fully defeat and kick the Soviets out of the continent.
